We were cycling the Via Francigena and thought this would be ideal for our overnight stay. The climb from Bar-sur-Aube was long and steep, and we wondered if we should have tried to find somewhere in Bar. Any such thoughts were immediately banished when we met Veronique. The warmth of her welcome made us feel immediately like old friends returning... More

After the usual Eurotunnel experience, we very nearly missed out on the most superb stay of our first night in France. We arrived late (8pm) to find what we thought were Veronique and Gerard's closest friends having drinks on the terrace, awaiting our presence. What then followed was a lesson for other hotels in hospitality. It turned out that all... More

This place is a gem and I recommend it without equivocation. After a long drive we received a great welcome from the owners, Veronique and Gerard. The room was very clean, large enough and had a comfortable bed. The price includes dinner and breakfast. Dinner was wonderful and all the guests eat together at one huge table. Don't let this... Gerard and Veronique gave us a wonderful welcome with champagne on the terrace before dinner. The meals (both in the evening and breakfast next morning) were full of delicious home made items. The atmosphere was very convivial and it was a delightful stop over on our way back from Provence. Highly recommended.

After a long drive from the Welsh border , there was Gerard to direct us to the off road entrance to their secure parking and inside the gate was Veronique to welcome us and show us to our room ; definitely Top Marks for the welcome! Dinner was preceded by several glasses of champagne with the other guests plus Gerard... More

If you want to really treat yourself to a special overnight experience with local French personality, and you like the thought of a chilled glass of Champagne after a day's sightseeing, then book at Le Goluret and take up the 'in-house' dinner option. As there is not much around by way of restaurants without a drive, the dinner offer is... More

We arrived late in the afternoon to be greeted by Veronique who immediately made us feel at home. As we were arriving on a monday evening (always a problem day for retaurants in France!), Veronique had offered to cook us a meal. This was delicious...everything home-made. We had pre-dinner drinks of champagne with Gerard, Veronique and one of their friends... More
