We stayed here in mid September 2015. Nice place but rooms smelled damp and moldy, at least the room we had. We had to keep the window open all night, then caught a cold. Would be nice to stay in summer to enjoy the pool. A bit far out I would of rather stayed near Amboise!

We have had the pleasure of staying at the chateau three times now. Our daughter got married here in August and the whole weekend was perfect from beginning to end. The staff were really helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely first class and could not be faulted. The chateau is perfect for a... More

My friend and I rented a car from Paris and visited the Loire Valley for 4 days on our way to Dordogne in early April 2015. I meant to review ealier but here it is. We enjoyed staying in a chateau. It was reaonably priced and quite convinient to many wineries and chateau locations (typically between 15-30 min drive). The... More

Had a nice sized room overlooking the gardens. Good sized bathroom with towel heater (nice!!). Great buffet breakfast. The staff was friendly, sociable, and helpful. Very quiet location, with good parking availability. Easy to find as there was signage on the main highway from Tours.

We stayed here for one night as part of a seven-night Loire Valley bike tour. I certainly felt under-dressed walking into this beautiful chateau in my bike shorts! The staff could not have been nicer, and view overlooking the pool and the Loire River took my breath away. The food is the real reason to stay here. Each night you... More

My husband and I stayed 11 nights in this lovely hotel. We used it as a base to see 16 chateaux and 8 gothic cathedrals in the Loire Valley region. Agnes Martinaud was extremely helpful with all are needs, had excellent suggestions for the region and made us feel like we were staying with family. The air-conditioned room made a... More

This place is beautiful and I thought the charm outweighed the minor touch up needed in places. And as for the food we had a three course meal and it was delightful, my partner said it was the best pudding he ever had! Thanks for looking after us. Only feedback is to have tea and coffee facilities in the room... More

Beautiful property but very poorly maintained. Our room was at the end of a corridor and was extremely stuffy. Wall paper peeling off with damp stains, old carpeted floors, musty smell all around, no air conditioner ( temperature outside was 30+ deg), breakfast buffet had poor selection, no bell boys ( get ready to lug your own luggage around). The... More

Very overpriced for what it is. We thought we'd be arriving at this amazing hotel, it didn't deliver at all! Courtyard was scattered with cigarette butts and toothpicks. Furnishings are dated and scruffy. Breakfast buffet was expensive and some of the fruit wasn't very fresh. One of our groups room had a very strong cigarette smoke smell, she was moved... More

Beautiful building and grounds but the rooms are in need of an upgrade. Expensive. The price does not match the quality of the rooms compared with other similar accommodation we stayed at in France. The fairly remote location means that eating at the hotel restaurant is really the main option, even if you have a car. We had variable food... More
