Beautiful property but very poorly maintained. Our room was at the end of a corridor and was extremely stuffy. Wall paper peeling off with damp stains, old carpeted floors, musty smell all around, no air conditioner ( temperature outside was 30+ deg), breakfast buffet had poor selection, no bell boys ( get ready to lug your own luggage around). The... More

Very overpriced for what it is. We thought we'd be arriving at this amazing hotel, it didn't deliver at all! Courtyard was scattered with cigarette butts and toothpicks. Furnishings are dated and scruffy. Breakfast buffet was expensive and some of the fruit wasn't very fresh. One of our groups room had a very strong cigarette smoke smell, she was moved... More

Beautiful building and grounds but the rooms are in need of an upgrade. Expensive. The price does not match the quality of the rooms compared with other similar accommodation we stayed at in France. The fairly remote location means that eating at the hotel restaurant is really the main option, even if you have a car. We had variable food... More

Beautiful small chateau with an amazing restaurant. Stayed for about 5 days for an anniversary - very peaceful and luxurious, service was great and food was excellent. If you want to eat in the nearby little village book ahead, we tried turning up and nowhere had any space! Only slight downside for us was that it is a bit of... More

Fantastic stay! This is a fairy tail Castle, we felt at home....The service is excellent, the rooms and the lobby very confortable. We spend the whole week-end on this beautiful place and loved every moment of it.

We pulled up late, in the dark and rain. The Reception clerk popped out with an umbrella and greeted us by name and said he was expecting us! The once chateau and now hotel was great! Our room large with a comfy bed and luxurious bathroom. We had dinner in the dining room which is beautiful with old school, high... More

Dear Madam, Dear Sir, Thank you for the wonderful review, it is with great pleasure to hear about your best experience at our hotel. We are glad to learn that you liked our welcoming, the food, the service in our restaurant and the breakfast. The menu is limited because our Chef, Régis Guilpain work with fresh and seasonal product. Be... More

This is a difficult review to write, as the location, building and staff give it fantastic potential. Unfortunately, it is a very run down property. The suite which we were upgraded to had a dirty bed spread, and I don't mean a smudge, I'm talking two body size dark marks. The fabric head board had two circular marks from centuries... More

What a disappointment! The bed was as old as the building, hard and uncomfortable. The carpet was threadbare and the whole place looked tired. There was no turn down service at night, which meant they did not clean up the bugs that flew in during the day. Actually, they never cleaned the bugs in the corners of the bathroom. Poor... More

We booked an upgraded room through the Small Luxury Hotels club at the Domaine de Beauvois in August 2014 for the last two nights of a trip through Spain and France. Upon arrival we immediately discovered that the hotel was no longer a member of the SLH group - and after our stay, we certainly have our own views of... More

Dear Madam, Thank you for the comment of your stay at the Domaine de Beauvois. First of all, we would like to remind you that although we are no more SLH member, you received a SLH special rate and the room free upgrade. Moreover we decided to quit SLH for personal reason and not for any SLH standard. Regarding to... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Domaine to visit the Châteaux de la Loire. We enjoyed the stay and the Domaine has indeed a nice architecture and a beautiful park. But the rooms need some freshening up, service is uneven and the restaurant is average. Location is convenient and the hotel could do much better with some serious cleaning, some... More
