-This place is going through some growing pains. Booked for 3 nights and were told on night 2 we needed to check out and check back in to change rooms for the last 2 nights. Even as Marriot platinum members, they just shrugged their shoulders and said, oh well. -Check-in is like a 100-yd walk from the front doors, which... More

Stayed here for 5 days in March 2014 and much fell way under expectations for a Marriott. #1 - We booked two rooms -- king and twins connected -- and were given two rooms with two twins not connected. They apologized and claimed the rate didn't cover what we requested. We would have preferred notice when we booked. #2 -... More

This hotel recently became part of the Marriott chain. when you arrive you can tell that the Marriott people didn't build it. There's a big open atrium space in the entry area and its kind of dark and not very inviting when you first enter. The location is great as its a short taxi ride to the main train station.... More

Nice hotel and good location. Rooms are really clean. Breakfast can improve with more options. The breakfast place can improve with a centralize table and the options. You need to walk around and find out where the food, fruits, etc... Not systematic way to serve. Decoration is good and the location around a park is nice. There is an area... More

It's a10 minute walk to the train station. There isn't much of interest in the neighborhood; but you can be in Tokyo Station or Shinjuku relatively easily. The room was standard, clean, hot water in the shower, etc. It's really fine; there is nothing outstanding.

Coming to the end of a five country, nine city business trip of East Asia, I have stayed at one Courtyard, two JW's and three Marriotts. This is by far the worst. In fact probably the worst Marriott I have ever stayed at worldwide. What can I say that is positive? It is a short taxi ride (700¥) from Shinagawa... More

We arrived very late, which they knew we were coming and still they greeted us by our name. The room was wonderful but more importantly the service was impeccable. What a wonderful property, very close the train station. Every encounter with the staff was a great experience. The breakfast was good too. While I had access to the lounge, I... More

Let me start by saying that, like a few others who reviewed the hotel recently, I am also a lifetime Platinum member of Marriott hotels. However, I am bemused by the negative comments of others who thought you shouldn't have to pay for the gym, or that the Executive Club is in a strange location, or the hotel location is... More

Formerrly known as the LaForet Hotel it opened as a Marriott only last December (2013). It is close to the (big) Shinagawa railway station(s) which is very convenient when you arrive from one of the two International airports, Narita (by Narita Airport Express) or Haneda (by Keikyu Express). If you don't want to walk, there is a free shuttle bus... More

Let me start by telling you I gave the Marriott Nagoya 5 stars and an outstanding review. From the moment I entered this hotel I could tell something wasn't right. No bellman to great at the door. By the time he arrived I had my suitcases out of the trunk and ready to go. Then at check in at 4... More
