Awesome hotel ever ! Was finding a hotel that can allow for 5 people to stay with and find out this hotel through booking.com , price was really reasonable. Checked-in on 12 Jan , although it is far from city area , there is still a shuttle bus service provided and can be easily walked from the station! The room... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in a family room (2 double beds) and still got plenty of space to sit around and put 4 of our huge luggages. This hotel is located near Shinagawa train station that has a few lines and is a Shinkansen station (beside Tokyo Station). To get to the hotel, there's a shuttle bus parked near... More

This place is an inexpensive gem. Free shuttle from Shinagawa Station (handy for trains to and from both airports). Easy short walk to monorail station (to Haneda Airport). We flew in to Narita and were flying out of Haneda the next day, so this place was very well located. I was expecting a very non-descript location, but was pleasantly surprised... More

I have stayed at Toyoko Inn when I went to Yokohama in October 2014 and the hotel exceeded my expectations due to its affordable price along with a decent service and usually an excellent location (usually close to a train station). Therefore I decided to give it another try, but this time in Tokyo. I stayed there only for a... More

One of the average hotel amongst the few Toyoko Inn hotels that we stayed previously. The hotel is large and has a larger reception and dining area. There is Japanese and Western style breakfast provided. We stayed for 7 nights and did not notice change of breakfast menu (we skipped some days). There is a convenient bus service that shuttles... First time in Tokyo, but needed two rooms for eight people that was close to the city and affordable. This hotel was all that and more. Friendly staff, free breakfast, and free shuttle to and from the Shinagawa train station. It's also about a five-minute walk from the monorail and subway lines, which make it even easier to get to... The frequent free bus service to/from Shinagawa Station was fantastic. Room was very clean and adequate size for a short stay. Free breakfast buffet was a welcome bonus. Reception staff were very helpful with directions. Earlier check-in and discounts are available if you become a member of the Toyoko Inn Club.

This hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from the Shinagawa station. The station itself is well-connected so it's easy to get around Tokyo from here. The room itself is clean, and spacious enough. There's a fridge and kettle, and they replace the green and plum tea sachets every day. There's vending machines and a microwave downstairs if you... The free shuttle from Shinagawa station to the hotel was very very convenient. A godsend even after an entire day's walking and sightseeing around Tokyo. A bus was always there whenever we got out of Shinagawa station. The free breakfast was hearty. More on Japanese food but the croissants were unexpectedly delicious. Just the right crisp and softness to it.... More

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighborhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
