First of all, this location is very near Haneda-airport, about 15 min by Yurikamome. And I felt price is not so high when we consider the location and cleanness. Needless to say, the size of room was really small, even it was hard to open suit-case fully. I think it's better to stay in this hotel than another in Kamata-station.

I searched online for hotels near Shinigawa station. This one came up, via agoda and I booked it. The voucher I was sent said nothing about having to get a shuttle from the station. It was pure good luck that I found it. I walked into the same chain's hotel near the station and they explained that I was at... More

This is certainly not a luxury hotel. So do not expect those fancy facilities, though it does has a sauna room. The place is clean, provides all the basics, including an in-room bathtub, offers free Japanese breakfast and free shuttle to Shinagawa rail station, from where one can reach most parts of Toyko by train. The standard single and twin... More

We thought this hotel was pretty good. It provided everything we needed during our stay in Tokyo. The location is a bit out of the way but with the shuttle running frequently we had no problems. I would recommend this hotel and stay here again.

Awesome hotel ever ! Was finding a hotel that can allow for 5 people to stay with and find out this hotel through booking.com , price was really reasonable. Checked-in on 12 Jan , although it is far from city area , there is still a shuttle bus service provided and can be easily walked from the station! The room... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in a family room (2 double beds) and still got plenty of space to sit around and put 4 of our huge luggages. This hotel is located near Shinagawa train station that has a few lines and is a Shinkansen station (beside Tokyo Station). To get to the hotel, there's a shuttle bus parked near... More

This place is an inexpensive gem. Free shuttle from Shinagawa Station (handy for trains to and from both airports). Easy short walk to monorail station (to Haneda Airport). We flew in to Narita and were flying out of Haneda the next day, so this place was very well located. I was expecting a very non-descript location, but was pleasantly surprised... More

I have stayed at Toyoko Inn when I went to Yokohama in October 2014 and the hotel exceeded my expectations due to its affordable price along with a decent service and usually an excellent location (usually close to a train station). Therefore I decided to give it another try, but this time in Tokyo. I stayed there only for a... More

One of the average hotel amongst the few Toyoko Inn hotels that we stayed previously. The hotel is large and has a larger reception and dining area. There is Japanese and Western style breakfast provided. We stayed for 7 nights and did not notice change of breakfast menu (we skipped some days). There is a convenient bus service that shuttles... Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighborhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
