I stay at the Toyoko Inn Shinagawa Kounanguchi Tennozu often because of my work. The hotel is clean, and the staff are pretty helpful. They have a VOD video system in each room to allow visitors to watch a wide variety of movies for 500 yen. For dinner, the restaurant in the lobby has shabu shabu for about 1000 yen,... More

We travel to Tokyo a couple of time this year and we used to stay in Toyoko Inn Takanawa branch (just acroos the street from Shinagawa station) but this time all rooms were fully booked. Therefore we decided to stay at Konan-Guchi branch instead. The location is OK but you need to ride free shuttle bus to Shinagawa station about... More

I checked in twice to this hotel. First time for three nights. Then upon my return for the final night after going out of Tokyo for a couple of nights. Both times I booked via their website, which is very good if you are a member, according you a discount, free 10th stay, earlier opening for reservation, 3pm c/in instead... More

I have stayed in over a dozen Toyoko Inns all around Japan and Korea. This is one of my least favorites. The pros: (1) This location provides plenty of rooms for family of 3 or 4. So it is much less inexpensive to book one family room than booking one twin + one single in other locations if you travel... More

Very close to Haneda if you plan to fly from there. Or If it is one day trip to Tokyo. You can get to Tokyo by the train loops as well. The station is within walking distance from the hotel. It is a business hotel so don't expect luxuries services. The rates also are good.

New building only couple years old and lot of rooms. While the hotel has 4 elevators it can be a hard challenge to get one in the morning during breakfast time. It is right near the monorail that goes out to Haneda Airport maybe 5 minutes walk and another 15-20 monorail. The first few years was good but after the... More

Highly recommended to those landing at Haneda Airport as the Tennozou Isle Monorail Station is only 5 minutes walk (Tennozou Isle Monorail Station is 15 minutes ride from Haneda Airport Terminal 2 Station). The hotel also provides free shuttle to Shinagawa JR Station, which pretty much links you to everywhere in Tokyo. Room is basic but clean with free wifi.... More

My family had stayed here two times in May 2014 and Dec 2014. The hotel itself locates nears Shinagawa train staion but not within walking distance There is free hotel shuttle service between 6.00-10.30 and 15.00-24.00. which takes about 10 mins. The hotel area is quite calm and quiet. If you need nightlife atmosphere, it is not your choice. From... More

Three of us stayed in a family room with one double bed and one single bed. We were happy to have stayed there for 7 nights. Necessary facilities were provided e.g. ensuite bathroom with towels, toiletries, free and fast wifi service, complimentary breakfast is served daily. Daily housekeeping did a good job and they provide free shuttle bus service to... More

First of all, this location is very near Haneda-airport, about 15 min by Yurikamome. And I felt price is not so high when we consider the location and cleanness. Needless to say, the size of room was really small, even it was hard to open suit-case fully. I think it's better to stay in this hotel than another in Kamata-station.

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighborhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
