Clean rooms, comes with a japanese style breakfast. I liked the location of the hotel and the fact that it was located just a few blocks from the train station.
There's free wi-fi and laptops in the lobby area where I was able to check/send emails.

Adequate. The breakfast, though, could hardly be called that. It consisted of coffee, orange juice, those abysmal crustless Wonder bread sandwiches filled with mayonnaise and egg that the Toyoko Inns favor, and plain white rolls. The view across the street of Shinagawa Station from our tenth-floor window was neat but a little noisy.

I now always stay in Toyoko Inns when in Japan if I can get a room. The rooms are tiny, but have a desk, free internet, and are comfortable. They are usually close to a train station and typically cost only 6000 Yen/nt.

Stayed here for 6 nights in June 2010. Typical Toyoko Inn-all are very similar. I have an International membership card, so you could say I am a frequent visitor to that hotel chain. The advantage here is it is only a few blocks to the Oimachi Train station, which is one station south of Shinagawa on the Keihin-Tōhoku Line, so...
