My husband and I stayed only one night on a last minute booking. It as a twin suite, so very spacious. Pros: - Convenient location (Visible from the JR Gotanda train station. Many restaurants and convenient stores nearby) - Good free wifi - Basic toiletries provided, plus sleeping pajamas - Good shower pressure with plenty of hot water - Staff... More

We stayed for 7 nights and got quite a good deal. A Japanese friend from outskirts of Tokyo stayed one night and was also impressed with the hotel. It's cheap and very small on western standards but it was directly opposite Gotanda station, easy access to the JR Line and Shinagawa station for the shinkansen is about 12 mins on... More

My husband and I stayed here in April 2013. The room was tiny and basic, but comfortable and clean with everything in perfect working condition. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect to catch an early morning shinkansen at shinagawa station. I was especially surprised by the delicious breakfast buffet with western... More

The room was small (to be expected in Tokyo) but clean. It's located directly next to Gotanda station which is on the Yamanote line. From here you can get to most major landmarks with ease. There is a family mart located on the first floor. Not really a whole lot in the surrounding area though, except for a few restaurants.

Great Location near Gotanda Station. Stayed here for 4 nights. We had decent size room with fridge, hairdryer, drink making facilities in room. Convenient Family Mart store at front door.Staff had limited English but very helpful. Provided information on how to forward luggage to another hotel. Quiet throughout our stay.

Convinient Location: Located Gotanda Station, it's very easy to find. It takes only short time to go to famous landmarks in Tokyo like Harajuku, Shibuya or Shinjuku (about 10-15 minutes by subway), Asakusa (about 24 minutes) Room: My room is a single room. In room, they provide all nesscessary things for a short stay (about 2-3 days). The room is... More

Need an over-night stay close to Haneda airport, en-route to next day flight in Narita. This hotel is on the Yamanote line - Gotanda which is easily accessible. Hotel is close to the station, just across the road. As for any business hotel in Japan, it's a very small & compact room, but we just need a night sleep after... More

This was my 7th trip to Japan. Therefore, I am well aware of the size of JP business hotel rooms. Very standard size...so I can't complain. Pros of this hotel is that. 1. location 30 seconds away from Yamanote line Gotanda Station. This was amazing as tokyo's subway lines are crazy complicated and yamanote is the most useful line a... The hotel is located about hardly 1 minutes walk away from Gotanda station which has the main JR Yamanote line. Family Mart (24 hours) is just next to the hotel. There were 2 families, 8 of us and we took 4 rooms for 6 nights. All of us were very satisfied with the room as it was worth every cent... More

We decided to stay in this hotel JPN$ 7000 per night because of its walking distance to JR rail line. It's stated in their website 30seconds walk and of course an expecting mom like me can't walk that fast! We took 1 minute to travel between this hotel and subway station, good spot! JR line is the main subway line... More

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighborhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
