This was probably the worst carvery I have tried, especially for the fairly high price. Both my husband and myself chose the beef and pork. The beef was approximately 1/2 meat 1/2 fat and gristle, the pork hard and dry and very difficult to eat. There were only 4 vegetables to pick from, carrots, peas, sprouts and broccoli in cheese... The new outer seating area, been done a while, is superb and a joy to sit there whilst eating with wonderful views. The food was lovely although the price is somewhat extravagant. Would like to try afain soon. Must take in popular location

I was staying on business and received a warm welcome and helped to the room with my case. I stayed in room 201 on the top floor, a good sized room for one but a tiny bathroom, with a glimpse of the sea from the window. There were fluffy white towels and a good range of toiletries. The bed was... More

A business trip of one night, however I would have liked to have stayed longer! Nice comfy & spacious room, with well stocked hospitality tray - water, toiletries etc also provided. Lovely view out to sea from the bar where I ate breakfast (which was very good, except for no marmite :-( )Friendly & helpful staff. Only minor drawback is... More

Booked 5 rooms for our 'cousins weekend' and were very happy. The superior rooms were nicely decorated & bathroom was very modern, up to date, and clean. The bed and pillows were super comfy and I did not want to get out. One of my cousins had a dirty bed upon arrival but this was quickly rectified and was hopefully... More

We went to the Cliff Hotel for a belated Valentines, and had an evening meal and overnight stay,we arrived at around 2.45pm and checked in and was allocated our room (201) we had already stayed here last year without any problem in a different room, this time the room was overlooking the carpark, not a problem as you don't spend... Hotel room was great, food very good. The only down side was the noise from the smoking shelter until the early hours. Friday night was the worst. The smoking shelter was enormous, 75ft x 25ft. Presumably this is used for summer entertainment, which would suggest this could be even more noisy. Fine if you are joining in, if you aren't... More

Stayed here on an Amazon voucher. Friendly greeting at reception. Found our room quite easily, and it was very nice. Comfortable bed, and the WIFI worked! Would have preferred a bath in the bathroom, instead of just a shower, but no big deal. However, the radiator in the bathroom was cold, and although we turned it on following the instructions,... My boyfriend and I went for a weekend away for Valentines day. We stayed in room 212 which had beautiful views over the beach and absolutely loved it, everything was clean perfect and the bed was so comfy that we just wanted to stay in bed all day! We had booked in for the Valentines dinner in the Mitchells Restaurant... More
