The hostel is very easy to find, 10 minutes to walk from the next train station. You can get to the city quite fast from there (Ueno Station is nearest). The hostel provided bicycles for free so we also went around Tokyo by bike! The Tokyo sky tree tower is not far away, twice as high as Eiffel tower and... More

Finding Aizuya Inn was sort of like a scavenger hunt. But when I finally arrived after walking 10 minutes from the subway station, I was pleasantly surprised. The owners are a French man and his Japanese wife. I really liked the decor of the hostel. Very eclectic and Japanese themed. I was on the 5th floor and shared a room with... More

On my second stay at Aizuya once again was not disappointed, great staff and lots of opportunities to meet new people who are fellow travellers. Very hospitable as usual. The showers are pay to use, however I would prefer to pay 100yen for a decent shower than get a crappy free one, and these showers are good! A slight walk... More

I traveled to Tokyo alone due to a wedding invitation and I sneaked in some sightseeing time before the actual wedding. I was looking for a cheap hostel and this was one of the cheapest hostels available that isn't a capsule hotel. For a price of 10,000 yen for 5 nights at their dormitory, it was one of the cheapest... More

i stayed here for 3 nights in bunk bed room for two. The staffs very helpful. Even rooms are quite small, it is very clean. Recommended for bag-packers because its hard for you to bring large luggage since stair is quite small. Far from traffic noise but still easily to reach via train. Located near to train station and 7... More

Me and my friend arrived to Aizuya inn way past closing hours. The staff still helped us in and gave us a room. We stayed for 6 more nights and the staff and especially the manager Raoul was very nice and helpfull during our stay. Sure the rooms are small, but they are clean which we considered more important than... More

The last time I stayed was a few years ago with a couple of friends. Since I remembered that the place was clean and comfortable, I decided to book again for my solo trip this time. The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful over the email communication, and for that they get top scores. The inn was not... More

It was a nice stay, Raoul give me a lot of advice for visiting Tokyo and places to go for buying a cellphone (mine was broken). Moreover, you find a lot of tourism guide in the common place. About welcoming, only Raul and japanese staff were friendly but not other guy of the staff, they seems to be foreign students... More

Aizuya Inn is located close to the metro and it's easy to get anywhere in the city once you figure out the basic landscape of the area, which is straightforward. The inn itself is clean, and has a very authentic modern Tokyo feel. The owner of the hostel even made Okonomiyaki for all the guests one night while we gathered... More
