This is my 2nd time staying at the Chisun Hotel Ueno and I have no complaints. The Hotel is well located in Ueno, with only a short walk to Ueno station, Ueno Park and various rail lines. The rooms are normal size for Tokyo and very clean. If you're happy for a nice 30 minute stroll, you can also walk... More

I have stayed in several hotels in Tokyo and Chisun Hotel Ueno is one of my favourites. The location is really convenient -close to Ueno station, which is a beautiful spot in the city and has several underground and JR lines, and also the shinkansen. There is another station, Inaricho, which is really close to the hotel. It is not... More

We had a short stay in Ueno and found this conventional hotel online. It is indeed walking distance from the Ueno train stations. If you have a metro train pass, it's very convenient to walk to/from and a much closer walk than the main Ueno stations. Along the walk to the metro station are convenience stores to pick up snacks.... More

Didn't know what to expect when I arrived as the photos made it look really grim. It was actually quite nice! The rooms were veeerry Tokyo-compact (we had the deluxe double so god knows what a standard room was like!), but we had everything we needed. The location is great - 5 minute walk from the Inaricho stop on the... More

I like staying near Ueno Station as it has good transportation from Narita and to both the JR trains and the Metro Subways. You can easily walk from the JR station but you can take the Metro 1 stop east on the Ginza line to Inaricho from Ueno toward Asakusa. It's two blocks north from the Lawson's convenience store and... A hotel with a great breakfast. Japanese/European style and friendly personnel in the restaurant. Nearby, 5 min walking from Ueno station. No non-smoking room available but reception made the room smelling good.

I took the keisei skyliner from Narita to Ueno and decided to walk to the hotel. The walk took about 15 minutes but was a great way to stretch my legs. The hotel is located about 2 minutes from the Inaricho station (G line) which gives access to Asakusa, and Ueno. It is about a 10 minute subway ride to... More

Stayed in a Superior Double Room (17m sq) on the 6th non-smoking floor in Feb 2014 for 3 nights. Hotel Room: The room is clean and size is okay. Do not expect big spacious room for Japan hotels. I was able to open a big and a medium size luggage on the floor but need to close them to walk... More

I'm not too fussy but this was below my standards for the price. Altjough fairly convenient, only a few stops from Tokyo on circle loop and only a few minute walk from ueno station from asakusa exit. But the walls were dirty and marked. The bathroom was not clean to my standard, too much mould mould for my liking. The... More
