Have stayed here a couple of times now and always impressed - this place is a family run business close to the central tourist areas of Asakusa. It's a good place for sightseeing, particularly if you're on limited time in Tokyo. The hotel itself is close to the subway line which will allow you to get to most other popular... More

We are a couple that stayed in Ryokan Kamogawa Asakusa's Family Suite/ TYPE B Room (4th Floor) for 2 nights from 4th April to 6th April. The service was really great! The staff could speak English, Chinese and Japanese so it was easily to communicate with them. They were also very helpful when we asked for directions. They gave us... More

In Asakusa the old part of Tokyo close to lovely temple and a great market there is Ryokan Kamogawa. Tatami mats, excellent service, the people working here are just beyond nice. It was just one of the many highlites of our stay in Japan and probably the best Ryokan I stayed considering everything. If you want to try a Japanese... More

On the way home from Vietnam we were lucky enough unexpectedly find ourselves "stranded" in Tokyo for a day and a night! Having a Japanese background I knew that Asakusa was the best place to take my better half to get a short but wonderful view of Japanese culture. We were lucky enough to get a booking at Ryokan Kamogawa... More

As a Japanese American bringing her non-Japanese family to Tokyo for the first time, Ryokan Kamogawa was an excellent choice. The B-type room we stayed was spacious enough for my family of 4 (2 teenagers.) The staff was helpful and friendly. You must eat their Japanese breakfasts that change slightly daily. The location was convenient to all attractions in Tokyo-... More

Have stayed with Ryokan Kamogawa each time visiting awesome Tokyo .. always very special, both Ryokan Kamogawa & Tokyo. Welcoming, impeccable Japanese hospitality & warm, friendly, gracious, helpful service offered by owner/family/staff to her guests, English spoken. Was fortunate to have been upgraded to a palatial apartment-sized room (from a single room) for a portion of my stay ~ loved... More

This was a lovely place to stay and I am really glad I chose this hotel to stay in on my first visit to Japan. The staff are all really friendly and welcoming and there's always someone around who speaks English. My room was full of character and I loved the Zen garden on the landing outside it. The Japanese... More

We booked this inn because of the hot spring bath and to experience some traditional japanese stay while in Tokyo. And this was so so good - do not underestimate what the hot spring does to your body after a busy day of sightseeing. It was so so unbelievable good!!! That alone was worth booking it. The owners do speak... More

Asakusa was a place where visitors are brought back to the Edo era (ancient Tokyo), with the very rustic and traditional Japanese atmosphere. Coming here and staying in a hotel would be quite odd, and looking for a good ryokan to stay in would be a wise choice. For us, this was the first experience in a ryokan and Ryokan... More
