I love this hotel. Despite its price, it has a lot of services and facilities. Many other cheap accommodation choices dont give you towels, slippers, coffee and many more things for free. This hotel makes me feel at home, thats why I always come back to it (3 times already). Very cheap price and all the services you might need,... More

I have stayed in Juyoh hotel for more than 3 times. Juyoh hotel staffs are nice and polite. The area around the hotel is convenient. There's supermarkets and convenience stores nearby. The rooms are acceptable for a single person stay with tv(optional) and fridge at every room. Toilets and bathrooms are clean. And there is even coin laundry at the... More

Stayed for one night to wait for a flight, clean room if with a slight odor from the flooring, basic but clean. Location could be better but for the price paid Im happy. Large hotel with many rooms, 10 floors, and luckily: an elevator.

Great Hotel I stayed there for 12 days and it was fun, very close to Asakusa and the Tokyo Sky Tree around 15 - 20 minutes walking, close to the metro and the JR line. Very easy to find. Maybe a bad point would be that I stayed in a room next to the the bathroom and the walls are... More

he Juyoh Hotel in Asakusa is a very reasonably priced and very well located hotel for a small budget. The rooms are very basic equipped with a TV and a fridge. Who chooses a Japanese-style rooms, sleeping in proper style and very pleasant on a Japanese futon. The sanitary facilities and showers are located on floors and are well maintained.... More

I stayed in Tokyo for 3 nights by myself. I thought Juyoh Hotel was great because it was the same price as a shared room in a backpackers, but you get your own room. The toilets and showers were always very clean and pleasant. I'm not sure what people are complaining about, the subway is about 10 minutes walk away,... More

I stayed here for 4 days in June 2015 for about $25 a night. The room was clean and cozy, with its own refrigerator. Nothing to complain about, the staff was friendly and spoke decent English, there is a clean-kept bathroom on each floor, free wifi, and public computers in the lounge. The only con is that it's quite a... More

I spent few days in this hotel. Price is very good for backpacker . Very good location. Close to subway station just five minutes by walk. Very good conditions for morning running by the close river bench. Few markets close to this hotel opened till late night. Minus is that reception closeing too soon. Rooms are simple but clean. But... More

I've stayed here before and it was a no-brainer that I'd be back, due to the great location and service. This is a "real" Japanese neighborhood, similar to what the average person might live in. It's quiet yet surprisingly close to major destinations in the city. Our plans actually changed and we needed a room for one additional night; they... More

First of all I would just like to mention that if you do not check in by 12 you lose your room. My flight was delayed and as I was on the train I decided to email the hotel to let them know I was running late (as they had said to let them know if it would be in... More

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighborhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
