Stayed here for 1 night with family in two connecting rooms. The hotel was literally a 7 minute walk from Iriya gate of Ueno station, but it takes additional 5-8 minutes from the platforms to the Iriya gate. No escalator downwards so you will need to carry your luggage down the 100 flight of stairs.

Cube hotel is a modern budget hotel. Intelligently designed, compact and clean rooms, with good shower but no bathtub. Comfortable bed. Free coffee, orange juice, and apple vinegar drink (my favorite) at the lobby 24 hours. Not far away from Seven Eleven. The downside is the distance from Ueno Station (not that far from Iriya Gate but at least 10...

This is a great place if you are on a tight budget but want to stay at a clean place.
There's a bed, wired LAN, toilet, shower (no tub), TV, AC in the room. What else do you expect from a hotel of this budget? It's clean and relatively new.
Perhaps I'd pick Superhotel though, as morning buffet is included...
