Hotel room in Tokyo are pricey & tiny, I wish to find a more spaicous hotel that is conveniently located & less pricey, thus, I started looking for hotels in Ueno. Ueno is only a few metro stations away from Shinjuku or Ikebukuro, yet it is less crowd. Hotel Location:- The JR station is directly opposite to the hotel. I... More

I search all over Tokyo for the perfect hotel that fit my budget. This hotel is where it's at! Non-smoking rooms, clean, close to train station, English speaking staff, close to convenient stores, modern, decent price...what else could you ask for as a tourist?! Side note: cool thing about this hotel is that when you step off the elevator (preferably... More

Fantastic, really loved this place. Very close to train and metro, shops all around. Was exceptionally clean, very quiet and non intrusive. We didn't have a meal at the restaurant because thee were so many eating places around. Also there were convenience stores across the road. I was impressed with the price ($160 NZD) per night as we had booked... More

We stayed here for just the one night as we had a flight very early the next morning. The vicinity to the station was most important to catch the train to the airport. The rooms were fine and the bathroom was nice. The beds were comfortable and it is also in close to a shopping mall were we bought some... More

Staying at this hotel during New year 2016. All of the staffs speak very good English and have good service mind. Hotel is clean and nice. Bed is very comfortable. Room size is just like every hotel in Japan, a bit small. Reccommend and will be back for sure.

I arrived late at night on the Keisei Sky Access Skyliner express train, which has a stop at Ueno. There is a convenient underground way to walk to a subway entrance that is three doors down from the hotel if it’s cold or rainy. After I checked-in, the person at reception explained that there was no hot water and apologized... More

The room was slightly bigger than the usual Japanese hotels. It is near Ueno subway and eateries. Also, near shopping area like as Kappabashi street which sells fake Japanese food, coffee, homewares and wholesale goods. Staff displayed the usual Japanese courtesy.

The hotel is located at a very good location, just beside the hotel there is a underpath to the ueno metro station. Always look for exit 1 to reach this hotel. The room is clean but a bit small , the stuff are very good too.

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighborhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
