A typically (in Japan) small hotel room with everything you need inside. It was clean and with a newly renovated look. A bit of a walk (about 5-10 mins) from the train station, but you'll then also pass about 4-5 convenience stores which could be handy. Good bed and shower and also a friendly staff.

For a 3 star hotel it's not bad! It's not to difficult to find from the metro but a little walk with a suitcase. This hotel has a small cupboard for your clothes, a little kitchenette with a microwave a kettle and a basin to wash up. The bathrooms are made for one person at a time and all the... More

A wonderful little apartment-like chamber in Tokyo. Really quiet, clean and comfortable. Some coffee-shops around the corner. Less then a 10min walk from Ueno away. Good connections. Would stay there again. But read the information-box, there is no cleaning during your stay, you have to put your garbage outside in the morning. More paraphernalia you get a the front desk.... Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and there is a good laundry with driers downstairs. WiFi fast and reliable Very handy (10/15min walk)for Ueno/Ueno Keisei stations, the latter has a fast connection to Narita. If... More

We found the staff here to be nice even though we arrived after hours someone came out to check us in and give us a small Christmas present, as we arrived Christmas Eve. The rooms were pleasant and clean despite being very small. But small rooms are to be expected in Tokyo especially when they are this cheap! No real... More

Spent only one night here so if the location is good to visit Tokyo is hard to say. Beyond the location everything is good. For a relative cheap price you get a compact room (with all the essential things there), WIFI, laundry facilities and friendly English speaking staff.

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighborhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
