Origami is a clean hostel in a great location across the street from Sensoji temple. The staff were really helpful and the beds were quite comfortable. Would definitely stay there again if I'm ever back in Tokyo

We stayed for 3 nights. This hostel has everything you need. The room was very clean and spacious for a hostel. I specially love the bathroom facility. It has separate toilet and shower room. It has few sinks with toilet paper, body soap, shampoo and even hair dryer. You can also rent towel for 50 yen. Isnt it great? You... More

Origami is the best hostel in Tokyo for differents reasons: -the staff is ALWAYS so nice, -the hostel is clean (both dorms and private rooms), -the common areas are beautiful -and is perfectly located, just behind Senso-ji.

The rooms were great and spacious, location is central and the people that work there are friendly. We stayed in a four bed private room and it was a great place to stay. The Wi-fi worked well, and the tips we got from the employees were very helpful.

We are glad to receive your review. We really enjoyed the time with you. Thank you. We wonder if the curtain is needed in 4 bed private room to keep the security. Anyway, thank you for stay and thankful comments. We hope you come to see you again. Cheers ! More

Had a good 5 days staying with a friend at Khaosan Tokyo Origami. The best part about the hostel is how clean it is at all times, and the kitchen / common area at 8th floor overlooking the city and the Senjoji temple. short walks to many metro lines. Take the metro, it works perfectly!

Hi, thank you for your lovely message. We are very happy to see you, We always try our best for the cleaning, based on our experience. It is difficult to keep rooms and common space clean. That's why it is very happy that we get the good review about the cleanness such as yours. Thank you for the great time... More

The advantages of the hostel are good location, friendly staffs and nice and clean environment (with fair price!). Only 1 min. walk to a big attraction - Sensoji, and the neighborhood is so quiet at night, very good for backpackers..

I had a great 4 days in this hostel. Everything is clean and new because it just opened. It is 4 toilets and 2 showers on each floor, with hairdryers and everything you need, clean at all times. On the top floor there is a big kitchen and a great view. I would definitely recommend this hostel. And of course... More

We stayed at Khaosan Tokyo Origami for five nights in February in an eight bed mixed dorm. The beds are almost pod-like, fully enclosed with a privacy curtain, which we found both novel and practical. The modern facilities are excellent and were always very clean and well maintained, with a lovely communal living area with great views over Senso-ji temple.... More

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighborhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
