Had a great stay here, the capsule beds were fun! Wish the bathroom had more counter space but besides that everything was really nice! Friendly staff, super clean bathrooms, and comfortable beds... (maybe they are considered futons?) The location was fine for us. The walk to the station going directly to Narita was about a 15-20 mins.

Top location opposite a tasty bakery (great for breakfast), and a 2 minute walk to all the main attractions of Asakusa. Of prime importance for a hostel, it is super clean, with particularly clean bathroom facilities. Try to get a dorm with the capsule style bedding, private and comfortable. And do take up the offer of the free drink at... More

I arrived lunch time and I was greeted by 2 friendly staff who attended to me right away. They gave me this very helpful piece of paper that contains key information about the hostel, which trains to take to key city destinations and also the passcode for the main door in case I will be coming back late at night.... Stayed here for 3 nights in a twin room and was very happy. It's a smallish hostel which makes it easy to meet people and the staff are really nice and friendly. Free tea in the kitchen/lounge and free coffee in the reception area are extra touches that are appreciated. And great night time views from the lounge too. They... More

We stayed in a private room and it was quite comfortable. There are bathrooms on each level so it also feels quite private. And the shared dining area has almost everything except soy sauce, unlike other hostels we stayed at. It also has a beautiful view of the Asakusa area. The staff there all have a quirky but very helpful... More

Excellent hostel, with highlights being staff (esp aya), cleanliness, privacy (pod like beds) and good showers and toilets. Overall far superior hostel experience than what I would normally expect. I would only have two suggestions ; 1) Laundry racks outside the rooms for people to dry their towels on. People now take them into the rooms which makes it smell... More

I stayed 3 nights in this excellent hostel. It is very new, good isolation between the rooms, clean, a lot of space in the bed and enough space for my bags. Staff is friendly, location is perfect and quiet. Curtains on the bed are good quality. Actually everything is high quality in this place! Highly recommender! If I come back... More

We spent 3 nights there and it was great. Really clean, the staff is amazing, really helpful. Beds are perfect, no noise, we slept perfectly ! I really recommend this hostel for 1 night and even few weeks. We didn't use the kitchen much but I'm sure it would have been great ! Don't hesitate more ! Book with them... More

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighborhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
