Choosing hotel Yanagibashi was an excellent choice for me. The staff are very kind and helpful and the hotel is located in a convenient area where it's only a few minutes away from the train station, one stop away from Akihabara and there are many food places and convenience stores nearby. Laundry Service was affordable as well.

Its one of those places that you can’t exactly praise or complaint because it provides with all the basic requirements yet not going out of the place. It suffices for a safe, comfortable and convenient place to stay in Tokyo but the size of the room is kind of discouraging but on the other side the bed size is good... More

Small rooms but the hotel owners are helpful and understands really good English. Have stayed here for nearly a fortnight and couldn't be happier. The place is not even far from asakusabashi station. Bed space is plenty big and even though rooms are small it's to be expected in Japan. For me being a big burly guy this is considered... More

Reached the hotel at 730am after an 8 hour flight. Unfortunately we were unable to check in straight away but our disappointment was reduced by the sheer courtesy of the staff manning the counter. He was able to keep our luggage for us while we have our breakfast at a nearby cafe. our room was a corner room on the... More

The room is small but clean. The hotel has basic amenities, staffs are friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to many restaurants, convenient stores and literally a couple minutes walking distance away from the train station. Very convenient location for a short duration of stay.

The hotel is 2 mins from the Asakusabashi station on JR line. You could walk to akhibara area which is 10-15 mins walk from the hotel. The rooms are very small but not too bad for short stay. The staff speaks English, they are courteous and very helpful; they allowed us to store our luggage at the hotel until our... More

Stayed there for the last night in Japan, the hotel is very close to the JR station, about 5 minutes walk, just be aware that there were no escalators in the JR station, so a bit inconvenient if you have large luggage, the staff allowed us to check in earlier when we arrived at about 1pm. The room was clean,... More

We stayed for one week and found the location to be very convenient, close to the train station and in a neighborhood with hundreds off little restaurants and shops. The staff speak English which is very good and the service is at the usual Japanese extremely polite and kind level. Unfortunately, the rooms are really small and old. A lot... More

I've stayed at this hotel twice on separate trips to Tokyo. The station is less than a 3 min walk away and the neighborhood is pretty quite. The rooms are small but that's to be expected in Tokyo! The location and service of the staff and hotel owners make this spot an excellent choice.

Clean hotel in a calm and nice area of Tokyo. Not far from the station and only one stop from the Yamanote train line. Staff is very nice and speaks English. The room is japanese size but the bed is big enough for 2 people.

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighborhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
