I booked two twin rooms in advance for my family and when I checked in was allocated one four bed room without any discount. Given it was Saturday evening and I was travelling with children I didn't have much choice but accept this. The room was noisy and had mosquitoes as the window couldn't be closed. Unsurprisingly, I didn't get... More

A colleague and I shared a room at the Yanagibashi for one night following a convention in Chiba, a suburb of Tokyo. The purpose was to be in downtown Tokyo for some sight seeing before returning home. We did not stay long enough to get to know the staff, but the room was clean, the location great, and the price... When I checked in to this hotel and booked in to this hotel I nearly checked out again instantly, it was that horrible. Close to the station, yes, but the whole hostel (because that's what it is) feels like a jail cell. I don't mind a small hotel room, but this was small and dirty. The walls and bathroom were... More

I stayed here for two weeks, and it was the best two weeks at a hotel I have ever experienced! The staff was friendly, loving and caring. I was touched to tears by their hospitality! I didnt want to leave because they were so nice. We even got gifts and free drinks as a thanks for staying so long.

I stayed at this hotel in April of 2014 with my girlfriend. First things first, yes the rooms are small. Squeezed into our room was a double bed, tv, fridge and bathroom. If you want a big room in Tokyo, you have to pay for it and pay big. Considering that this room has everything that a traveller needs, it’s... More

This hotel perfectly suited my needs in terms of budget and location. Situated in a quiet area but close to the undergroud station and therefore easy to get to most of the touristy areas, I even walked to Akihabara and Asakusa. The rooms are very small and the window had no view which was a bit depressing but on the... More

This is a family owned hotel. The rooms are really small but we wanted an ensuite and two single beds in and it's tough to find one around Tokyo for a reasonable price. The beds are side by side and the bathroom is so small that a bigger person might have problems getting in and out of the bathtub. Having... More

My husband and I have spent 13 nights at this small hotel run by a very nice and welcoming family. It is a few minutes walk from Asakusabashi subway station and from Jr station, near the main touristic stations of Asakusa, Akihabara, Tokyo, Ueno and closed to the Sumo area. Our room was very small and there was no view... More

Hotel is less than a 5 minute walk from Asakusabashi JR train station and Metro. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Room was clean and serviced daily. Tomoko-san was very helpful and speaks English. This was the only hotel on my trip where the WIFI worked in my room rather than just the reception area. Would stay here again.

Stayed here one night when planning to go to Akihabara for the evening. This place is fairly close to the train station and wasnt too hard to find. Quiet area. Very nice staff member on duty when we checked in and checked out. They both spoke English. We had a private twin room which was smaller than some other hostels... More
