We stayed here for approximately 10 days, with a break in between to travel around the country. While we were away, they held our luggage for us in the hotel lobby. It's a very convenient location just 2 minutes walk from the Asakusabashi station (1 station away from Akihabara for the otaku reading this). There's also multiple convenience stores and... More

I stayed for a week. Good location at reasonable price. Though the room is small but everything is fine for me and very clean. The staff was so friendly and helpful when I asked for her assist to arrange a delivery of luggage from hotel to airport. I will definately stay here again on my next visit.

Very close to subway and JR station (which means that, if you have a JR Rail Pass, you can get to many sites for free). Rooms are small but there was enough space for the 2 of us. All clean. Beds are large and comfortable. Good wifi. The only problems I had were (a) I could smell cigarette smoke several... More

I stayed here for the last five nights. And the highlights were that the staff were very very friendly and accommodating for me. Also the price was very reasonable. It is very close to the stations. I had a great experience here!

We arrived to check in early (around 1:30pm) and were told our room would be ready "soon". No option to leave our luggage. Continued cycle of "please can we leave our bags?" and "please wait, room will be ready soon!" until 4pm check in time. Got to the official check in time but our room had not been cleaned as... Staying for 8 nights from March 29 to April 6, we booked a small double room and we got a very comfortable room in the corner on the 3rd Fl. (306). Really impressed with the staffs attitude, very friendly and very fluent in English. Room was cleaned everyday, fast wifi service for our gadgets and laptops. On the surrounding, only... More

I stayed for 2 nights and found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the directions provided really helped to find the hotel as it's down a side road I could have easily missed it. Very close to metro lines making it easy to get around and there are some very good... More

Hotel Yanagibashi is small, no getting away from that fact. Its simple and for Tokyo good value. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the staff were very nice and the location is super handy with the Asakusabshi Toei Line station being only meters away and lots of places around for food. Re the rooms: ours were at the back of the... More

Choosing hotel Yanagibashi was an excellent choice for me. The staff are very kind and helpful and the hotel is located in a convenient area where it's only a few minutes away from the train station, one stop away from Akihabara and there are many food places and convenience stores nearby. Laundry Service was affordable as well.

Its one of those places that you can’t exactly praise or complaint because it provides with all the basic requirements yet not going out of the place. It suffices for a safe, comfortable and convenient place to stay in Tokyo but the size of the room is kind of discouraging but on the other side the bed size is good... More

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighborhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
