Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo is a truly excellent hotel. It's quite possibly the best I've ever stayed at, and it was certainly the best of my stay while in Japan. When I first arrived, there was no soap, shampoo, or conditioner in my shower. Fortunately I had packed my own. Being new to international travel, I didn't know if they were... More

The Metropolitan Hotel at Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo was very Good. It is one of my preferred Hotels in Japan. The Urban Scenic that surrounds the hotel is clean, Classy, Elegant, as well as the distinguished appearance that the Hotel architecture contributes to its surrounding Scene. The Hotel is very Clean, New, and elegantly decorated. It is Modern and Classy. The... More

We chose this hotel due to it being located near Ikebukuro train station. We arrive at the hotel hoping to check in early at half 2, (check in at 3) but unfortunately we were only allowed to drop off our luggage and asked to return at 3pm. This was surprising for such a large hotel. The room itself was nice... More

Been here a couple of times for business purpose. Good location next to Ikebukuro station, small clean rooms and good breakfast, Fitness club in the building, free entrance vouchers from the hotel.. Nice view from the upper levels.

Service was average, however the staff were not friendly as they told my child "no noise please" even though he was not making much noise. The size of the rooms were rather small and packed for even just two people. Rooms were not sound proof and the pillows were uncomfortable making sleep difficult. Another shocking thing is that there was... More

The people at reception are really trying but this one doesn't do it for me. Rooms are very small and noisy. It seems like the fire-brigade is close because I woke up twice from the sirens. Breakfast is a chaos as many tourist gather at the same time it seems. The only advantage is the close distance to shops and... More

I was a single traveller and stayed at the Hotel Metropolitan Ikebukuro at the end of October 2014. I didn't have a clue about Tokyo so I was hesitant about how good my hotel choice was - turns out it was pretty good. I stayed on the 21st floor in a decent sized room that was clean and fresh. I... I spent 5 nights and was very comfortable. It was a work trip, so there wasn't much time for sightseeing, but I managed to visit the Rikkyo University which was just a 5 minute walk away, and the Kishimojin Temple which was a bit of a walk, but worth it. The night-life around Shinjuku was also just one train station... More
