I've traveled to several countries and this was my favorite hotel. It was modern and extremely clean. The staff was courteous and the location was great! The Ikebukuro district is a great location to stay because you have options -- you have plenty of local restaurants and if you are missing your american fast food spots there are plenty of... More

This is a very nice hotel and the staff is friendly and helpful. We booked online and got a great deal. The only recommendation I have is to eat outside in one of the many available places, the food at the restaurant is very expensive and the portions are small even for me who doesn't eat big portions. Also one... More

The Hotel Metropolitan is probably the best hotel in Tokyo's Ikebukuro district. Modern, full-serviced and rather lavish, this hotel is an excellent place to base yourself if you are doing a Tokyo-only trip. However, if you are planning a multi-city itinerary and have to travel from one part of Japan to another, you might want to check out other areas... More

I and my son stayed in this hotel last year during October 15-22, 2013. We booked directly to the hotel. It was my first time to visit Japan. I found that this hotel is very comfortable, nearby Tokyo station, easy to find many places for shopping, eating and transportation. Hotel staffs are very polite and pay attention to the customers.... More

This is my second time staying in this hotel. Overall the experience had been pleasant. Room size is (standard room) is ok for two persons. Sad to say that wifi is not available in the hotel rooms. Need to bring your personal AP. Location wise, this hotel is statically located above the train station. It helps to allow for frequent... More

This very large hotel (1000+ rooms) is perfectly located, just 2 minutes’ walk away from the Shinjuku train station, the largest in all of Japan, making access to any part of Tokyo very convenient. Also, the tourist buses linking the Haneda Airport to the large hotels are offering a route passing by this hotel. The bus will drop you right... More

Me and my sister stayed here between August 22nd till 30th and loved it! We thought the rooms where just fine size wise (standard double) and had everything we needed including daily bed linen changes and razor/hairbrush/cotton buds/shampoo etc etc Very good view if on a high floor and the bar at the top (25f) I like something out of... We stayed at the hotel at the end of a wonderful trip to Japan. Whilst Tokyo seems incredibly spread-out, the Metropolitan is in a great location a short way from the Ikebukuro subway station which has great connections to the rest of the city. The hotel was everything you would expect from a decent city hotel. The rooms were small... More

We absolutely loved Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo. The room was huge and beautiful, the bed was comfortable. We could see Mount Fuji from our window every morning and a good portion of the Tokyo skyline. The building itself is super classy, with beautiful bamboo trees, stone siding, waterfalls, and marble floors/walls. The staff spoke great English and was extremely courteous. We... More
