We recently stayed here for 3 nights with our 9, 4 and 1 year old children. It was perfect for our family. We were warmly greeted when we arrived by Nicholas and Betty. We reserved the family Suite which has 2 connected rooms. There was plenty of space for all of us and it was very clean. No shoes are... More

we stayed in a private rented 2 room apartment near ritz Carlton, and we stayed 3 days at family inn saiko. both were the same price! The apartment had fridge kitchenette and couch, Saiko had 8 tatami and 4 walls. To get anywhere needs a 10 minute walk to a jr stop then 1 station to chaotic ikebukuro hub. Small... More

Family Inn Saiko is cosy little place tucked in the middle of a typical Tokyo neighbourhood and yet very much accessible to Ikebukuro and other major attractions. With our confirmation, Family Inn Saiko also provided a detailed, dummy-proofed map and directions to the inn. No problems getting there with airport limousine and taxi. When we arrived for check in, we... More

This place is clean, friendly and cozy! Every time we returned to the inn... we always felt we were going home like the locals. It's a bit far out from the central but the walk and train rides are pretty convenient. When we arrived at the Ikebukuro station... it would've been confusing to get to the inn but because they... Stayed at the Family Inn Saiko April 15-20. Followed the directions to the hotel, by printing out the directions in Japanese. We gave them to cab driver at Ikebukuro station but he didn't really seem to understand them. Bit worried at first but the driver found it. Warmly greeted upon check-in with a cup of tea and was promptly reimbursed... More

Saiko family were exceptionally patience and nice, I can't thank them enough for their kindness. My stay was great because of all the tips I received from Nicholas-san and the family. I LOVED my room! It was really clean and tidy. One of the nights I asked for a recommendation on a place to have dinner and the family invited... More

Nicholas and his family were really sweet! Humble and helpful family. Upon check in, we were shown to our rooms and given tips abt Tokyo and the travelling. Everytime we go out or came back they would ask about our day etc. The one thing tt made our day was during check out, in the morning Nicholas told us there... More

I just came back from Tokyo and I stayed for 2 weeks in this Family Inn. And I should say that I left the inn satisfied. I flew from Sydney and since the first moment I felt welcomed. The room is good, you should not bring shampoo, soap and towels, because they provide it. You can use the laundry and... More

This was our last place to stay on our trip around Japan and one of the best. It certainly deserves it's trip advisor rating. Located in a lovely neighborhood where you can experience everyday Japanese life. The rooms are spotless, the staff very friendly and helpful, they even printed maps off the Internet for us and came to see us... More

Hara san (Nick), Betty san and the always smiling and friendly obaasan will certainly make sure you have a warm and comfortable stay at their inn. Eager to help at all times. Hotel is located at a very quiet neighborhood, with convenience stores 10 minutes away and the closest station nearby is Shiinamachi on the Seibu line.
