Beautiful venue near the impressive Ikebukuro station. This area is always awake. Restaurants, bars, cafés, and stores abound. When you need to relax and get some sleep, this hotel is just the place. Staff keep everything spotless. The front desk staff were very kind. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and convenient. I will definitely stay here again.

I liked this hotel very much: the location was good (close to JR and Metro stations), many restaurants nearby and the room was very well equipped! I didn't use the washing machine because of my short stay, but it is definately useful for a longer stay. No problems with the wifi and breakfast was also OK. I could stay again,... More

This hotel was pristine and in a great location, just up the road from Ikebukuro station. The room was large and incredibly clean, there was even a washing machine in the room which was good. The hotel was really good value for money too - couldn't find any faults.

Having stayed at the Tokyu Stay Suidobashi a week earlier, I was not looking forward to staying here. In fact, I tried to look for alternative accomodation several times but couldn't find anything last minute to suit my budget. Anxiously, I arrived at Ikebukuro station and began looking for the hotel. The first thing to note is that the hotel... More

I travel a lot and let me tell you this place is unbeatable. Loved everything about it. comfy room, lightning fast wifi, breakfast included (and tasty, with lots of options). only 3 minutes walking to the metro/train station. Everything right outside the doors of the hotel...restaurants, cafes, 7-11, supermarket. Washer/dryer in the room is very convenient. hotel staff are excellent.... More

I go to Tokyo every other month, and this time I chose to try this budget hotel which is at the cheapest price i have ever paid for a room in Tokyo. I am so pleasantly surprised! My 3 night stay was so enjoyable! Having read many reviews, I remembered i had to get out of west exit C6... but... More

Rooms were very, very comfortable. There was a washing machine and microwave in the room, which were great plus points. The front desk gives you a packet of detergent for 1 use. I booked the ladies' plan, so my room had a curling iron/straightener and steamer. Also, upon check-in, they let me pick amenities from a huge basket (moisturizer, lotion,... More

We stayed here at the beginning and end of our Japan trip. Super convenient to have washer/dryer in the room. Breakfast has a lot of choices and only 500yen. They were able to both send luggage to our next hotel and receive it when coming back. Super close to the C6 exit of ikebukuro station which has an escalator. 7-11... More

Very near the Tokyo Metro and JR Ikebukuro station so it is very convenient. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. It is small, as most hotels in Tokyo, but I cannot complain. Amenities are complete, and what I really like about this hotel is that you have your own washing machine/dryer in your room. Very appropriate for relatively... More

The hotel is located on the very convenient station. Even it's not shopping exit but not too far to walk. Room is small as usual hotel in Tokyo but clean and we slept well every nights. From hotel is easy to walk to bus stop for airport limousine just 5 mins. The breakfast has few selection but taste is ok... More

Staying in Ikebukuro

Neighborhood Profile
Ikebukuro
Ikebukuro is an area of massive development. Several thousand tenants occupy two giant department stores and shopping malls, where all sorts of shopping and gourmet foods can be enjoyed. The 60-story building at the east entrance of the station, Sunshine City, is a landmark within Ikebukuro and features an aquarium, planetarium, theme park as well as an observation platform. The popular name for the western side of this area is "Otome Road" (Maiden Road) and there are many shops selling products related to anime with a female theme. It has rapidly become the worldwide headquarters for ‘otaku’ or geek culture.
