I go to Tokyo every other month, and this time I chose to try this budget hotel which is at the cheapest price i have ever paid for a room in Tokyo. I am so pleasantly surprised! My 3 night stay was so enjoyable! Having read many reviews, I remembered i had to get out of west exit C6... but... More

Rooms were very, very comfortable. There was a washing machine and microwave in the room, which were great plus points. The front desk gives you a packet of detergent for 1 use. I booked the ladies' plan, so my room had a curling iron/straightener and steamer. Also, upon check-in, they let me pick amenities from a huge basket (moisturizer, lotion,... More

We stayed here at the beginning and end of our Japan trip. Super convenient to have washer/dryer in the room. Breakfast has a lot of choices and only 500yen. They were able to both send luggage to our next hotel and receive it when coming back. Super close to the C6 exit of ikebukuro station which has an escalator. 7-11... More

Very near the Tokyo Metro and JR Ikebukuro station so it is very convenient. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. It is small, as most hotels in Tokyo, but I cannot complain. Amenities are complete, and what I really like about this hotel is that you have your own washing machine/dryer in your room. Very appropriate for relatively... More

The hotel is located on the very convenient station. Even it's not shopping exit but not too far to walk. Room is small as usual hotel in Tokyo but clean and we slept well every nights. From hotel is easy to walk to bus stop for airport limousine just 5 mins. The breakfast has few selection but taste is ok... More

The location is prime. It is only a two minute walk to the JR station (quite possibly the most confusing JR station in Tokyo but that is another story!). The staff are absolutely wonderful and cannot help enough. The only problem I had with this place was the size of the room, it was by far the coziest I had... More

Great hotel in a convenient location. You can catch the JR Narita Airport Express directly from the station next to the hotel. It was easy to find the hotel and the staff were very helpful and kind. The memory foam pillows were nice and we slept really well. It is small, but that is to be expected. We had backpacks... More

I would have given this place an excellent rating if the room had just been a little bit larger, though I guess that's normal in Tokyo. We stayed 3 nights and got the rooms at a steal price of only just over USD100 per night on Agoda for early booking (much cheaper than the stated price on their website), and... More

I stayed here one night after returning from Kyoto, before my flight back to Singapore via Narita Airport. I love my room as it has everything I need to have a comfortable stay. Mine had a washer/dryer in the room, which is the main reason why I chose this hotel, but I had a hard time figuring out the buttons... More

I have a great stay in Tokyu stay Ikebukuro. It is only 2 mins walk away from subway station, 1 min walk away from family mart and seven eleven. Let's talk about the hotel, most hotels in japan are relatively small. It fits couple of ur suitcases but hard to walk thru. However, every room has their own microwave and... More

Staying in Ikebukuro

Neighborhood Profile
Ikebukuro
Ikebukuro is an area of massive development. Several thousand tenants occupy two giant department stores and shopping malls, where all sorts of shopping and gourmet foods can be enjoyed. The 60-story building at the east entrance of the station, Sunshine City, is a landmark within Ikebukuro and features an aquarium, planetarium, theme park as well as an observation platform. The popular name for the western side of this area is "Otome Road" (Maiden Road) and there are many shops selling products related to anime with a female theme. It has rapidly become the worldwide headquarters for ‘otaku’ or geek culture.
