The hotel is located on the very convenient station. Even it's not shopping exit but not too far to walk. Room is small as usual hotel in Tokyo but clean and we slept well every nights. From hotel is easy to walk to bus stop for airport limousine just 5 mins. The breakfast has few selection but taste is ok... More

The location is prime. It is only a two minute walk to the JR station (quite possibly the most confusing JR station in Tokyo but that is another story!). The staff are absolutely wonderful and cannot help enough. The only problem I had with this place was the size of the room, it was by far the coziest I had... More

Great hotel in a convenient location. You can catch the JR Narita Airport Express directly from the station next to the hotel. It was easy to find the hotel and the staff were very helpful and kind. The memory foam pillows were nice and we slept really well. It is small, but that is to be expected. We had backpacks... More

I would have given this place an excellent rating if the room had just been a little bit larger, though I guess that's normal in Tokyo. We stayed 3 nights and got the rooms at a steal price of only just over USD100 per night on Agoda for early booking (much cheaper than the stated price on their website), and... More

I stayed here one night after returning from Kyoto, before my flight back to Singapore via Narita Airport. I love my room as it has everything I need to have a comfortable stay. Mine had a washer/dryer in the room, which is the main reason why I chose this hotel, but I had a hard time figuring out the buttons... More

I have a great stay in Tokyu stay Ikebukuro. It is only 2 mins walk away from subway station, 1 min walk away from family mart and seven eleven. Let's talk about the hotel, most hotels in japan are relatively small. It fits couple of ur suitcases but hard to walk thru. However, every room has their own microwave and... More

Located just within two minutes walk from two subway exits of Ikebukuro train station. Multiple shopping malls, restaurants and convenience stores all within easy reach. Extremely friendly and helpful staffs. The hotel is clean, modern and tastefully decorated. Simply put, it's flawsless. The rooms are super small but adequate. In-room washer/dryer and microwave oven was extremely useful. While you are... More

Just returned from 6 nights stay at Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro. Followed the direction of fellow reviewers, quite easy to find from exit C6. There is another landmark which is the Super Hotel that has large yellow signage opposite the hotel. The room size is quite standard as per Tokyo hotel. My room is at level 13 so has unblocked view.... More

This hotel was a very convenient walk to the subway and malls and shops. The room itself was small which is to be expected in Japan but was comfortable and clean. Had good amenities and shuttle bus straight to the airport. Lots of places to eat and see nearby.

The hotel looks like it was recently built or updated as it is very clean and modern. It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Ikebukuro Station. The small room had a small refrigerator, air purifier, good AC, microwave, hot water pot, safe, flat screen TV, desk, chair, dishes and flatware, robes and slippers, free wifi, and... More

Staying in Ikebukuro

Neighborhood Profile
Ikebukuro is an area of massive development. Several thousand tenants occupy two giant department stores and shopping malls, where all sorts of shopping and gourmet foods can be enjoyed. The 60-story building at the east entrance of the station, Sunshine City, is a landmark within Ikebukuro and features an aquarium, planetarium, theme park as well as an observation platform. The popular name for the western side of this area is "Otome Road" (Maiden Road) and there are many shops selling products related to anime with a female theme. It has rapidly become the worldwide headquarters for ‘otaku’ or geek culture.
