We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel and loved its location and cleanliness. We requested a non-smoking, double room but at the end got a smoking, twin-beds room. The smoking smell was not as bad as we thought so it's alright. Rome size-wise, it's a typical small room as with most hotels in Japan. For us with 2 big... More

The hotel is very convenient with a lot of restaurants and shopping mall around. It's also close to subway exit. Just one problem is that there's no escalator or elevator from the subway to the ground level. With luggages it's really a burden to climb up and down stairs !! Staff cannot show us a exact location of the escalator... More

This hotel is located about a few minutes walk from Ikebukuro station, east side where Seibu and Parco department stores are located. Very safe - I would say even at mid night. Ikebukuro is one of the largest terminal in Tokyo so convenient to go anywhere in Tokyo via train/subway within 30 min. Not "classy" at all, but very functional... More

I've never before had to make a request of this nature, but this time I happened to forget an expensive electronic device in my room after departing. I was very worried the item was lost, but the B Ikebukuro was willing to take on the extra work to send me a forgotten item to my next hotel down in Kyoto.... More

went to tokyo for the first time and stayed here for 4 nights. friendly staff, clean hotel. Small but at least it's clean. great location. very close to the ikebukuro train station and the mall. Convenient location, close to a railways/metro station and a big shopping mall and surrounded by a multitude of very attractive restaurants. Comfortable room with all required amenities and excellent bedding despite tiny bathroom. Breakfast buffet is excellent with a combination of European continental and japanese traditional dishes. Front desk staff was steadily smily and helpful.

We just spent 3 nights at the B. I have to agree that the location is amazing. Eateries and shops are just downstairs. The train station is a mere few minutes away on foot. The hotel was a renovated property and is reasonably modern. I have nothing to complain about the price either. 12000 yen for a twin room per... More

I stayed for one night at the end of my trip. I booked through Orbitz for the smallest single room but was upgraded to a slightly larger single room free of charge. We stayed at this hotel two separate times during our stay in Japan, and both times we found our experience to be amazing. Staying in Ikebukuro

Neighborhood Profile
Ikebukuro
Ikebukuro is an area of massive development. Several thousand tenants occupy two giant department stores and shopping malls, where all sorts of shopping and gourmet foods can be enjoyed. The 60-story building at the east entrance of the station, Sunshine City, is a landmark within Ikebukuro and features an aquarium, planetarium, theme park as well as an observation platform. The popular name for the western side of this area is "Otome Road" (Maiden Road) and there are many shops selling products related to anime with a female theme. It has rapidly become the worldwide headquarters for ‘otaku’ or geek culture.
