This hotel is really well positioned for a visit to Tokyo Sumo. It's not too bad either for Disney and has a shuttle bus which is free. Rooms are clean and the hotel generally is of a good standard. Staff are welcoming and friendly although English is not widely spoken. Good view of Fuji from the breakfast room. Downside, no... More

By far the biggest room I had in all of Japan! Booked a double room and was pleasantly surprised (after staying in a room the size of a shoebox the previous nights) to find a massive bathroom, huge bed, desk, chairs and a table and a huge window looking out over Tokyo! We stayed on floor 23 and while I... More

Stay there during the full cherry blossom season. Completely overwhelmed by the trees by the Edo City Museum. The room was clean and simple. The breakfast was very good. The hotel would have gotten 5 stars from me if not for the lacking of wifi in room.

Our room was at 23rd floor and able to look at the sky tree. It's very beautiful at night. The location is convenient as it's immediately next to the metro station and only need to walk about 12 minutes to JR station. There are many restaurant there and some are open 24 hours. The staff are very nice and the... More

We stayed at the Dai-ichi Hotel Ryogoku from the 23rd of February to the 2nd of March. The hotel is conveniently located close to the JR Chuo Sobu Line and the Oedo Subway Line. The good bits - Very close and convenient. Various sights around such as the Edo Tokyo Museum, the Ryogoku Kokugikan and Skytree. - Reasonably Priced. -... More

Friendly staff though limited in English language ability. No free wifi in rooms. We had our child and the room felt very cramped with a little one. Easy to get to sky tree and aquarium from here. Park next door was nice too. Comfortable enough.

Overall a very good experience. The hotel is modern, the rooms pleasant and the views can be excellent. To get to this hotel from Tokyo Narita airport, take the airport limousine bus #17 from Narita to TCAT (Tokyo City Air Terminal) and get a taxi from there, about 1500 yen. Be sure to have a printout or screen handy showing... More
