Having heard reviews of just how claustrophobic some of these Japanese hostels can be, I have to say that I’m rather happy with the size of my twin-sharing room. There’s ample space for us to place our luggages and walk around. However, my biggest problem comes when I’m trying to sleep. I couldn’t stand just how noisy the whole place... More

Stayed here in May '12, just wanted a cheap room for the night to see the sumo tournament. Got a great reception from the English speaking front desk staff, who have great local knowledge & told us everything we need to know. Great location about 5min walk to Asakusa subway (Ginza line). & they have a little bar around the... More

It's cheap and has big capacity so you could try your luck there if other places nearby are fully booked. It provides all basic stuffs (kitchen, showers, internet), located behind combini and public bath. Have to walk at least 10 minutes crossing the bridge to any Asakusa subway gates, so get familiar with the location first before wandering around at... More

This place has it all, staff is friendly and the rooms are impecable, there's a bar down the street where guests can hang out after a day of exploring the amazing tokyo. there's a 100 yen shop a few feet away from the hostel where you will find everything a backpacker needs. it's just a few minutes walking from asakusa... We stayed in this hostel on a few occasions and loved it. It's spotlessly clean, the staff are fantastic and we really liked the location. There is free internet and wifi, there are loads of dvd's for people to watch and there is a kitchen. On one of the nights the staff dressed up for halloween and cooked for all... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, the location was good and bad. It was in an interesting are in Asakusa and was down a nice quiet street but we had JR passes and the nearest JR station was Ueno so the walk down the road was good at first but got quite tiring in the end, especialy walking back at... It's far from the station over the Sumida river about 10 minutes walk. We got a 3 room but had 4 bunks, it was small but it's just a place to sleep, not a hotel. The little dining area on the top floor where our rooms were was quite small. Hard to sit around without worrying that a door would... More

I never thought I could get such a confortable, clean and spacious room for such a fair price. And besides that the staff at the reception could speak good English which is a tremendous asset in Tokyo!

A really great place to stay in Tokyo! Well located, at Asakusa area, 5min from nearest train station. Very nice and helpful staff, really clean rooms and bathrooms, cool common area with nice kitchen, 8 computers and free wi-fi. I stayed in a dorm with "private beds" or bunks with doors giving perfect privacy, loved that! One of my friends... More

Good place - stayed two nights with one friend in a private room. Room was pretty tiny but clean. Location is decent for Uedo Park but I wouldn't stay in this area for an entire stay in Tokyo again. Its a bit far from everything you'd want to see/do. Its a pretty residential area. The walls are paper thin so... More
