We book 2 rooms, triple and double. We were very happy with the service and the location. Hotel staff is very accommodating. The shuttle service going to Shinjuku train station was very helpful. The 2 thing lack on this hotel was a wardrobe cabinet. They only have hook where you can hang your clothes and the english channel. Will definitely... More

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. The first two nights we booked a double, the second two nights were in a semi-double room. The semi-double bed is a little tight for two adults, but manageable. Rooms are small, bathrooms are very small, but there is hot water for tea and a mini fridge available. Overall, this is a... More

We were very pleased with the New City hotel. We booked a double room (not to be confused with the smaller semi-double rooms) and the room was quite spacious by Tokyo standards. The bathroom however was very cosy if you like a big bathroom this may not be the place for you. They have free wifi, however it's a bit... More

good hotel, not too far from the citycentre (shinjuku that is), free shuttlebus from hotel to shinjuku station(and back ;-) ) or a 10-15 min. walk ...good quality of breakfastbuffet, only the free wifi is not everywhere good connected, my room had bad reception of wifi, overall, good, clean hotel.

Shinjuku New City Hotel is a good choice, if you are looking for a comfortable and reasonable stay in Shinjuku. Although it is not a perfect location for any nearby shopping or places of attraction but it is still a short walk to Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building with observation deck that offers great view of the city. This hotel also... More

As noted by someone else, the good thing about the hotel is the shuttle bus to shinjuku. Otherwise quite ordinary. Very small rooms. Staff are friendly. Nothing special about the streets around. I did not try the breakfast. In shinjuku , note where u arrive as I could not find the west exit again. I went to tochomae station then... More

The best part of this hotel is the free shuttle to Shinjuku Station. Its most welcoming for weary legs. We had booked the semi double room. While the room is spacious enough, the bed is a tight fit for 2 adults. The Tokyo Metropolitan building is a short walk away and the night view from the 45th floor is simply... More

We have stayed at Shinjuku New City hotel on two separate occasions and will not hesitate to go again on our next trip to Tokyo. The location is great, just a 10 to 15 minute walk from one of Tokyos main railway stations, Shinjuku station, from where you can easily get to almost anywhere in Tokyo. The staff have always... Having visited Tokyo many times, I prefer the Shinjuku area, so the New City makes sense. The free shuttle bus is a big plus, but regardless, it's an easy and pleasant walk to the station and numerous department stores and eateries. That said, the bathrooms are insanely small, and they are strict about the 3pm check in.

I booked this hotel because it is located in Shinjuku. What I did not realize was that the hotel is located on the other side of Shinjuku, far from the shopping district and the train station. The nearest train station is the Tochomae Station of the Toei Subway. This station is connected to the JR Shinjuku Station but would require... More
