3 mins walk from shinjuku station west gate and located on the main street. Rooms are a bit small and old given that ibis took up an old hotel and refurnish a bit. Staff can speak fluent English and we're helpful. Good value for its location.

Google Maps currently (2015-06-27) shows Ibis Tokyo Shinjuku as "Permanently closed". Not so! I have enjoyed a comfortable night here with free WiFi, modest but complete facilities, and courteous front-desk staff. It's a very easy walk from Shinjuku Station. Clean, quiet, comfortable, and compact. Very good value for the money.

I guess from reading other reviews getting a good room is just luck of the draw. Our room was a little small bit big enough to spread our luggage out. Bathroom spotless and cleaned everyday. Staff kind and smiley. Location is great right by Shinjuku red light district and despite our window facing onto the street we had no noise... More

Picked this hotel because of its location. Also, as an Accor Advantage member I got extra discount for the room. Getting there is easy. From Narita or Haneda, take the Airport Limousine which drops you off at Shinjuku Station West Exit. From there it takes about 5 mins to walk to the hotel. It's a pretty straight forward walk, so... This is an ibis and you can expect the same as any other in the group. However, the room is just a bit too small even if it is compared with others in the vicinity. Its location is considered very convenient by others but I just don't feel the same. Its distance from Shinjuku Station is short but the road... More

When we arrived first we were accommodated in the 3rd floor where the windows couldn't open. Of course because one of us is smoker they moved us on the 7th floor. There the window barely opens, the room was way small for us, ever the suitcase was unable to open on the floor. The Bathroom was even smaller and my... More

We chose this hotel based on price, location, and room type (not a hostel). Location is great, room is OK (small, more smoking than non-smoking options available, breakfast is fine. The issue we had was the inconsistency between the rates advertised online and what we ended up having to pay; as well as the way the staff dealt with the... More

Dear Valued Guest Thank you so much for sharing your feedback of IBIS TOKYO SHINJUKU. We are truly disappointed to hear that your stay did not meet or exceed your expectations. Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
