I stayed at the Ibis .shinjuku 3rd - 15th August 2015 and found it to be an excellent Hotel to stay at - great location - just 5 minutes from train station - great restaurants just around the corner - local and cheap - McDonalds just outside - great for morning coffee - room small but clean - serviced every... We had a chance to stay in this hotel for 3 night with our friends. As we have learnt everthing about this hotel are true. It is closed to the busiest train station in Tokyo, Shinjuku Station. And also it is closed to main shoping centres, restaurants and convenience stores. We have everything we need indeed. Good hotel in a... More

Booked here for 3 nites for my short break in Japan. First time in tokyo and when I get off from the bus stop, I can't find the hotel, it's not a big and tall hotel you can easy to spot with. But anyway, I manage to find it when I go up to the bridge. I arrived at the... More

You get what you pay for at this hotel: Clean, compact rooms (but not unduly so by Ibis or Tokyo standards), very helpful reception staff, a very adequate breakfast buffet offering and sensational location for transport around Tokyo and to/from Narita. A bonus is the nightlife available in close proximity to the hotel. A great base for a visit to... More

I enjoyed staying here and my bedroom was a good size for the centre of Tokyo. The location was amazing and you are in such a convenient location. The bed was so comfortable and I slept so soundly . The hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly and polite. Do visit !

Staff are not very pleasant for japanese standards. With the exception of perhaps the manager (taking a guess as he was the only one in a proper suit) and one other. The staff are not very pleasant when leaving our bags. During check in our reservationist would just walk out to the back repeatedly to check for vouchers being emailed... More

Having stayed in similar Ibis hotels around the world, I found this one out-dated. My biggest shock was the lack of window - well there is something like a window, but you can not open it as there is a concrit wall just in front of it. It is okay for an overnight stay...

The setting: You are across the street from the D5 exit of the Shijukunishiguchi Station on the Toei Oedo metro line, and about a 10 minute walk from the main entrance of the Shinjuku train station entrance. This is an excellent location as the express airport buses depart from the Shinjuku station, as well as the express train to Narita... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
