I would expect to see some decency of the room state since it is Hyatt. The exterior seems big and ok. However, when I check in, it was really a shock. OK we know Japan rooms are small, but with the amount I paid, the room should be slightly of decent size. But I was wrong! Room is small, and... More

Good place to stay. Shuttle bus to JR station and airport is very convenient. Very close to Shinjuku center, easy for shopping and eating. I will choose it again when visit Japan with family next time.

The location in Shinjuku is excellent and the rooms are modern and clean. It is an easy walk to other portions of Tokyo and the public transportation near the hotel is superb. I struggled with my experience from the staff. They were pleasant and very knowledgeable; however, there were simply too busy. There were numerous travelers checking in and out... More

I came to Tokyo for business so this hotel is ok. My room wasn't very big or modern but it was clean and comfortable. The public areas are very nice and modern. The worst thing to notice was the breakfast. It is expensive (29€ the buffet) and they serve bread from the previous day. I complained and they made a... More

I stayed here several times in the past and I am happy to notice that the highly irritating aspects of the hotel have been solved : finally, they offer Wifi in the room without the cumbersome hardware installation you had to go through. Very good. And this time, there was even an international power plug in the room. Also a... More

I have travelled all around the world and stayed in many different hotels. This is absolutely one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The rooms are large for a Tokyo hotel and while not as up to date as it might be cosmetically - the service at this hotel is 5 star. The attentiveness and attention to detail... More

I'm very dissapointed with the Hyatt Regency Tokyo, I know I've paid for the cheapest double room, but we've been given a room which was single room with a double bed forced in. I've never been in a 5 or 4 star hotel where the bed is place against one of the walls, and there's only one night table and... More

Excellent international hotel, with nice rooms and a nice view. Very professional and helpful staff. Travel for holidays with wife and 2 teenagers. The reservation service did a great job allowing to have to rooms one in front of each other (1604 and 1614). The king size bed rooms are roomier than standard rooms , which is not always the... Great hotel in Shinjuku! Great choice of restaurant in the hotel, you don't need to get out ! ... from Brasserie type to high level French, also mentioning the Chinese and Japanese restaurant of course! Tochomae station just below the hotel!... very convenient!

You can't be everything to everyone, and this hotel was definitely built in this location to cater mainly for visiting business people. It's a decent option. It's showing its years now, but it is exceptionally well maintained as only the Japanese can do. There's a system for everything and the concierge here is excellent. They have an answer to every... Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
