Visiting Tokyo for the fourth time, my friend and I elected to stay at the Hyatt Regency due to it's convenient location to Shinjuku, as well as direct access to both Haneda and Narita airport with the Friendly Airport Limousine bus. Of the five hotels I've reviewed, the Regency showed the most age with a cell-block like facade and ornate,... More

Overall we were very impressed with this property. The service was excellent, it was very clean and the lobby was impressive. We were treated like valued guests. We especially liked the food at the Chinese restaurant and the breakfast buffet had a nice variety of Japanese and western food. There is a train station right there which has a variety... More

We stayed 3 nights in a regency club room and were very disappointed in what we got for our money. Despite paying more for a club room, we had to pay extra for Wi-Fi. There was no free Wi-Fi anywhere in the hotel, not even in the lobby! The room itself (overlooking Shinjuku park) was not properly sound-proofed, so traffic... More

The property feels old and dated. There's no hotel-wide wireless available from the room; it was necessary for housekeeping to deliver a modem. It took several minutes to figure out how to activate it and connect devices (I'm a software engineer). There's a smoky smell throughout the building. The biggest disappointment was the treatment of Hyatt members. As a Diamond,... More

We stayed 4 nights in a club room post an 18 day cruise around Japan. We found the extra charge for the club room was well worth the expense as it afforded us a chance to relax in the evening after long days shopping and sight seeing in Tokyo. Our room was large by tokyo standards, very well presented and... More

I had to turn on every single light and still half the room was shaded.... More

We found staff very unhelpful, When we asked concierge how to get to mt Fuji the guy just said go to station and catch a bus- and book online... What the?! I thought that was concierge job! Then when leaving the hotel we got a taxi instead of free shuttle to the station for a reason. But the door man... More

Good: Modern rooms Good club lounge services Convenient shuttle bus Good Italian restaurant Polite and helpful staff with prompt service Not too far from Shinjuku central Awesome chandeliers Bad: Small room (despite being a club king on 7th floor) Poor views from a small window Smelly stained carpets Very stingy management - Only 2 bottles of water per day are... We had a wonderful five day stay at the Tokyo Hyatt Regency. We really enjoyed the western buffet breakfast and the room was a nice size. The hotel staff was very attentive and the concierges were very helpful.

We were extremely impressed with the Hyatt Regency Shinjuku. From the moment you arrive the staff treats you as an honored guest. We had a corner King deluxe room overlooking the park, which was closed due to the Dengue fever outbreak. The room was perfect with every amenity possible. Had breakfast and dinner at the hotel during our stay and... More
