We have stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We had a view deluxe room for the first night for us two, and the last three nights a view room as a friend joined us. The deluxe room was modern and well appointed with a bigh bathroom, overlooking the park. The view room also looked over the park but was... More

Fantastic hotel with super location (har its "own" subway station). Big, modern and clean room with very comfortable beds. A really nice breakfast restaurant with the choice of buffet or a la carte. Helpful and friendly staff - free shuttle bus to the train station. Easy access to Haneda airport - bus stop at the hotel.

My son and I stayed 2 nights at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo after a very long flight from South Carolina. We stayed in a twin on the 25th floor. The view of Tokyo was magnificient, and as a bonus our room overlooked a beautiful park. The Hyatt is on the airport limmosinne line, which is very efficient from the airport... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in June. Pros: + rooms are of a good size, clean and well-appointed + conveniently located - the Haneda Airport Express took us directly to the hotel (about 45 mins), and a shuttle service to Shinjuku was also provided at regular intervals. There's also an underpass to the Tochomae Station on the Oedo subway... More

I really enjoyed staying here, hotel concierge are very helpful in arranging restaurants and bar bookings. Good buffet selection and convenient 7-11 downstairs for anything you've forgotten. Gym is on the small side, pool is a comfortable length and wifi is generally everywhere except the gym which is annoying. Close by are great attractions including wonderful walking parks and bustling... More

I enjoyed my stay here although next time I'll stay somewhere closer to cafés/ restaurants etc. great business / luxury hotel and fantastic service. Fast, friendly and efficient. They don't fuss all over you ... So if you're the kind of person who wants that you might be disappointed. It suited me perfectly. I had a family emergency while staying... More

Nice and clean rooms. Very helpful staff at the concierge and front desk. Requests were all promptly made. The shuttle service to Shinjuku station is very helpful. From there, you can connect to different train lines. There is also a train station just under the hotel connecting to Tochomae Station using the Oedo Line. This means hotel is accessible on... I stayed here for 4 days and came away with mixed feelings. Facilities: It is an older building. They have upgraded it over the years but it still hasn't completely gotten away from its 1980's roots. I was upgraded to a club room but it was still, typical for Tokyo, small, The bathroom was very nice though. The gym was... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
