I travel cheap otherwise I can't travel. From Terminal 1 Narita Airport take free shuttle to Terminal 2. Tourist Office well equipped. Exchange Japan Rail Pass and buy 2day metro passes Y980 and JR ticket for train to Iidabashi, Sobu Line with change, at Kinshicho. Entrance to elevators difficult to find, depending where you exit from the station. From JR... more

Please don't listen to all these people giving it one star, they are obviously over fussy and don't understand what you get for £10 pounds a night. Firstly it does have a strange arrangement of locking you in but its just the same as any hostel that has a curfew, the hostel is a little hard to find being located... more

I stayed at TIH for 10 nights in early June 2007 and it was perfect, particularly for the very low price. Alright, it was quite regimented with set bath and shower times and a curfew, but for somewhere to put your head before 11pm each night I couldn't fault it. The staff were very accommodating to requests for luggage storage... more

A great hostel experience! Very clean and professional. The staff were helpful and friendly at all times. I stayed in a four person room which had a nice view of the city. Beds have curtains you can pull around them at night for privacy and you get a good sized locker in your room to keep personal items safe. Bathrooms... more

Hi there, before I start I just wanted to point that this is a youth hostel (a pretty damn good one!) and not some luxury resort. If you stay here, you know what you're in for, so don't start complaining like one of the other reviews I read. So here goes: centrally located next to the Imperial Palace, this place... more

This is by far the worst hostel I have ever seen (and i have been to many). It is dingy and looks like it was converted from old office spaces into "dorms" and you are not allowed to lock your door when you sleep!! You are given lockers for your belongings, but what about your saftey!!! You share a shower/public... more

This hostel is the ultimate dream hostel. Think of a utopian image of hostelling heaven. Floors so clean you get cleaner just walking on them. Incredible facilities that make NASA look low-tech. Multi-lingual staff who can be friendly in SO MANY different languages. The fact is, it is real and it is here. This was the first stop on my... more
