Apartment Hotel Shinjuku is such a wonderful place to stay. It is close to everything, very central, and the place is so lovely. There is a vintage boutique inside the hotel, which is super cool, the decoration is in the same vintagy-vibe. The staff is helpful and really nice, my heater didn't work well in my allocated room, I reported... More

Comfortable. Great value for your money. Close to everything (restaurants, train stations, shopping malls, theaters, etc..) and kind staff. They give your fresh towels everyday that hangs on your door. they provide shampoo & conditionair plus body soap. You also get the fast wifi. Overall great experience. Small room and washroom, but we were able to fit since it was... More

Like the title says, it's a good enough place to lay down for the night or anytime during the day while you enjoy the rest of the city. Warning to Westerners these are small in comparison to your usual lodging, so don't expect a lot of room to bask and enjoy the amenities in. It's worth the money you pay,... More

This hotel is in a fantastic location just 5 minute walk from the south / south east exit of shinjukuju station. It's in a super cool building and doubles as an antique shop so you are surrounded by awesome old artefacts downstairs and up the staircase. For the quirkiness and location it is great value for money and much cheaper... More

Rooms are quite simple, yet functional. It is about 5-7 minutes from the Fukutoshin Line, so it's quite convenient. What impressed me about this hotel is that the rooms have a kitchenette! Nice touch!

My friend and I was in Tokyo for 6 days and we stayed in this hotel. It is in the center of the city and we can just walk from the hotel to restaurants and night spots. It is in a quiet lane so sometimes you forget you are in the middle of a busy city. It is easy access... More

I highly recommend Apartment Hotel Shinjuku. I spent 4 days there in July 2014. The hotel is very close to the Shinjuku JR station and an underground station -- thus it gives you easy access to/from the airport and most of the places you want to go in Tokyo. This hotel has 24 hour access, kitchen in the room and... More

Super easy to get to from Narita airport. Just buy a Narita Express ticket from the helpdesk at the airport (1200 yen) to Shinjuku. This place is a 3 min walk from the South East exit. Really glad I stayed here for my first few days in Tokyo - everything is literally on your doorstop and it gives you a... More

I stayed in Room 102 of the hotel for 3 nights, it was a satisfactory experience. The room was lovely. Princess style, well-equipped and comfortable. The whole hotel was casual but comfortable. I would say it is a great choice in Tokyo, especially when you love shopping. Shinjuku is an awesome place to shop. Tips for finding the hotel: Take metro... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
