Everything we expected, clean, central and the coffee machine was a bonus. Reception staff were very helpful. Room was small as expected but comfortable and the bathroom was actually quite large, we had the superior twin room.

Nishi Shinjuku Hotel mystays is just great if your are visiting Tokyo as a tourist. Excellent location, restaurants, Izakayas.. you name it!! But if you're in Tokyo for business you might feel that the room is not suitable, for instance, there was no wardrobe for suits. I preferred to move out and they might have charged an extra fee for... More

The situation is perfect. The neighborhood also. Business hotel with everything you need. Feel free to take everything you need in your bathroom (shampoo,...) Rooms cleaned, not noisy. Also little bit small but normal for European style room in Tokyo. Wifi available in the room, ask the reception. We'd stay there again.

Thank you very much for choosing Nishi-Shinjuku Hotel Mystays. Our hotel is approximately 5minute-walk from JR Shinjuku station which is the central part of Tokyo. You can eat various kinds of foods including Japanese food and enjoy shopping at malls. We have free amenities which you need during your stay. Our welcome coffee is also our guests' favorite. Upon arriving with my partner we took the mid renovation lift which had a tarp on the floor up to the reception. The receptionist was not what you would call friendly but wasn't unpleasant. I was dubious as she flatly handed us our room key and told us that there was no hot water until after 7.00pm. She did not... More

Thank you very much for choosing Nishi-Shinjuku Hotel Mystays. Firstly we are deeply sorry for not being able to provide our guests proper services. A guestroom on 8th floor was under construction and hot water supply must be stopped during working hours. Reception staff explained about this situation when checking in but we are sorry that she might not have... More

About a 10 minute walk from Shinjuku station. We chose it because we were travelling with 2 teenagers and needed 2 rooms, and Mystays was really well priced. It's no frills, rooms are fairly small (there's really nowhere to put anything outside your suitcase) but were very clean and in a pretty cool location for restaurants and bars. The bath... More

Location is great. 5 minutes walk (at a good pace) to Shinjuku station. The streets around it are amazing with local cuisines. The hotel is next to a cemetery. It's a little dark, and small. It defiantly does NOT have the upgrades of a new hotel. Having said that, it's not a bad place. We'd stay there again. Didn't interact... More

If you like the accessibility and attractions of Shinjuku, but also want a place to retreat from it all, this is a hotel to consider. About 10 minutes’ walk northwest of Shinjuku Station, you’ll find the Nishi Shinjuku Hotel Mystays, nestled near a Buddhist temple and too many small restaurants to try in one trip. This is not a resort-style... More

Thank you for staying with us in Nishi-Shinjuku Hotel Mystays. I booked this hotel on booking.com and there were only two rooms left. Both rooms allowed smoking in them but the price was so good I couldn't turn it down. Once I got there, I was greeted with very friendly and professional staff. Then I went to my room and was pleasantly surprised. It was clean and there was no... More

This hotel exceeded my expectations in all respects. It is perfectly located in Shinjuku about 5 minutes away from the busiest subway station in the world , yet it overlooks a very peaceful little square with a well-kept garden in the middle . The room was spacious, airy and clean ,and the bathroom was also spacious and clean. The reception... More

The hotel is very conveniently located & good value for money. Service was efficient but impersonal. Main drawback was the rooms are very small (we didn't mind this given we were only there to sleep). Overall good for a budget traveller wanting to stay in Shinjuku specifically, though I stayed in much better private rooms in hostels in Tokyo for... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
