About a 10 minute walk from Shinjuku station. We chose it because we were travelling with 2 teenagers and needed 2 rooms, and Mystays was really well priced. It's no frills, rooms are fairly small (there's really nowhere to put anything outside your suitcase) but were very clean and in a pretty cool location for restaurants and bars. The bath... More

Location is great. 5 minutes walk (at a good pace) to Shinjuku station. The streets around it are amazing with local cuisines. The hotel is next to a cemetery. It's a little dark, and small. It defiantly does NOT have the upgrades of a new hotel. Having said that, it's not a bad place. We'd stay there again. Didn't interact... More

If you like the accessibility and attractions of Shinjuku, but also want a place to retreat from it all, this is a hotel to consider. About 10 minutes’ walk northwest of Shinjuku Station, you’ll find the Nishi Shinjuku Hotel Mystays, nestled near a Buddhist temple and too many small restaurants to try in one trip. This is not a resort-style... More

Thank you for staying with us in Nishi-Shinjuku Hotel Mystays. Though welcoming guests from both Japan and overseas, Nishi-Shinjuku Hotel Mystays was built to be a business hotel in the first place which would be close to Shinjuku station while still being quiet enough to offer our guests a good night sleep. The Shinjuku area is one of the "never... More

I booked this hotel on booking.com and there were only two rooms left. Both rooms allowed smoking in them but the price was so good I couldn't turn it down. Once I got there, I was greeted with very friendly and professional staff. Then I went to my room and was pleasantly surprised. It was clean and there was no... More

This hotel exceeded my expectations in all respects. It is perfectly located in Shinjuku about 5 minutes away from the busiest subway station in the world , yet it overlooks a very peaceful little square with a well-kept garden in the middle . The room was spacious, airy and clean ,and the bathroom was also spacious and clean. The reception... More

The hotel is very conveniently located & good value for money. Service was efficient but impersonal. Main drawback was the rooms are very small (we didn't mind this given we were only there to sleep). Overall good for a budget traveller wanting to stay in Shinjuku specifically, though I stayed in much better private rooms in hostels in Tokyo for... More

This was my first time to Japan. I initially had chosen 2 other hotels but cancelled those 2 after I noticed that there was a discount for this hotel. And so I booked this hotel for 33300 JPY for 4 nights, twin room, no smoking. Location is quite near to Shinjuku subway station once you know the way, about 10... More

The hotel is approximately 5-10minutes walk from Shinjuku Station. Good value hotel located few steps away from vibrant streets of the area. Hotel room is relatively fair size to Japan standard, clean and adequate. Wifi is available and free at the lobby, coffee and information booklets as well. Staffs are accommodating. Check in and check out is a brisk.

Pretty good hotel, stayed in December 2014 in a couple of twin rooms. Rooms are pretty small but fine if you're not spending too much time in your hotel room. Bathroom was good useful vending machines, free coffee from machine in reception. The only negative was the spotty wi fi but not too big a deal.

We stayed here in the latter of end of September for some city sight-seeing and for the Sumo Tournament. Good value hotel, the room we stayed in didn't have a wardrobe but as this was Tokyo was the last leg of our journey (Osaka-Kyoto-Okinawa-Tokyo) we were not that bothered. Very closely located to the subway line which can take you... More
