This is a quite and calm hotel. All staffs dont understand English and difficult to communicate, but they will try their level best to help you out and try to understand what you are trying to ask. Very helpful staff i must say. Rooms are not too big and have no great view if you are at west side, east... More

I've stayed at this hotel several times, and I was not disappointed. It is quite old, but everything is in excellent shape. The staff are helpful, and the breakfast choices are very good. Rooms are sufficiently spacious, but closet space is very limited. Within a few minutes walk to the Ichigaya Station. The area is safe, and very clean.

The first business trip to Tokyo in a long time. I reserved [Hotel Grand Hill Ichigaya] (an overnight stay with berakfast). My work was done and then I stop at a tavern with my boss. This is why I checked in to the hotel at night. The west building, which was renewed, had my room. The interior decoration appeared new. The... More

We were directed to this hotel by organizers of a conference at which I lectured and were very pleased -- so much that we chose to stay an extra few days on our own. Impeccably clean, very attentive housekeeping staff. The bathroom had a wonderful Japanese soaking tub, as well as a spacious shower. Bidet and extra nice supplies of... More

Though it says it's in shinjuku, shinjuku is a little ways away. A 13$ cab ride. Rooms are nice. Typical Japanese size. I booked a double room so it wasn't too small. Breakfast was good with eggs, meats, fruits, and Japanese selects. A block from the ichigaya station. Supermarket near as well as McDonalds. No wifi. Only LAN cable. Actually... More

Hotel Grand Hill Ichigaya is easily accessible from the Ichigaya Station. Staff at the Reception are helpful with phone calls, messages, etc. They brought a humidifier to my room promptly when I requested for one. The room is clean and comfortable. Meals at the cafe for lunch and dinner was delicious. Breakfast was OK, but another hotel around the same... More

Hotel Grand Hill is very conveniently located in this business area of Tokyo. It is 3 minutes walking from the Ichigaya JR station. My experience of stay here has been very pleasent. The staff is very prompt and helpful. The rooms are slightly larger than the normally smaller rooms one gets in Tokyo area. The bath and toilet area is... More

Staying in Yotsuya / Iidabashi

Neighborhood Profile
Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this day, and there are long-standing restaurants with geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
