This was one of the riskier hotels I have booked since the review history is not great and mostly not in English. I wanted to stay in Shinjuku on a budget and this was the highest rated one I could find. On the language front, the staff had minimal but a functional vocabulary. For more complex inquiries google translate or... More

We checked into this hotel today and we're pleasantly surprised with the room we were given. We seem to have been given a self catering apartment which is huge and incredibly clean!! This is in contrast to all the other hotels we have stayed in so far in Japan were you are shoe horned into tiny little rooms. The management... More

Good location and only 15min walk from Shinjuku Station, clean functional rooms with tv, bar fridge and tea making facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff, free italian style coffee in the lobby, only concern is free internet is wired not wireless and is very slow, needs upgrading. Yes i would come back again.

We booked the suite on the top floor, It has 3 bedrooms and was extremely large and spacious. As well as this the price very was reasonable. The apartment on the top floorthat we stayed in had a dinning room and kitchen. A very large bathroom, washer and dryer for the clothes and everything we needed. The staff are very... More

This hotel is ideally located close to the attractions of Shinjuku. The room we stayed in was much larger than we expected. The bathroom was tiny - if you were very overweight or had mobility problems it would be hard to fit in the bathroom or step over the approx 75 cm high edge of the bath. We stayed on... More

This was a quirky llittle hotel, probably not ideal for access to the trainstation as it is about a 10 minute walk. The biggest down side is the WHOLE HOTEL smells of cigarette smoke! it can be quite bad after a big night out in rappongi! I probably would stay some where alot closer to electric street next time i... More

This place is really a hidden gem with a near perfect location....to me at least. It's located on a small little side street just minutes from the main action of Shinjuku. Not only that the hotel is DIRECTLY across the street from the Golden Gai bar area and the incredibly well kept garden path that leads DIRECTLY into the heart... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
