The hotel is tricky to find when you first arrive. We just went into another hotel when we thought we were close and asked them for directions. The hotel itself is near some night clubs, so if you are sensitive to noise you might be better off elsewhere. My wife and I had booked a standard room, but we immediately... more

This review is long overdue, as my stay was back in Febuary of this year. I stayed with a friend for 2 nights at the BW and was incredibly impressed. We were able to walk directly from the train station...it was about 4 blocks. We each had a small suitcase and had no problems navigating through the streets and sidewalks.... more

I stayed with my wife for four nights at the Best Western (BW) Shinjuku and we both agreed it’s an excellent value hotel ($119 USD/night). Check-in was prompt and pleasant and the staff were polite the entire stay. The hotel is just over a year old now, so the rooms are contemporary, but tight for two packrats who like to... more

A superb hotel located ten minutes walking from Shinjuku Station. Great location close to subways, an interesting shrine, and a fun network of little old alleys and streets. Also within walking distance of the Tokyo Metropolitan Building observatory and shopping malls. Some good restaurants in the area. Nearby by is a very tacky but fun and safe 'red light' district... more

This hotel definately has the rooms you'd want in Japan. A proper bathroom and a lovely bed. Albeit a small room but booked a semi-double so expected it. The room still had room for our cases to open, a desk and a chaise long which was a nice touch The service - was not very good. Staff were'nt friendly and... more

Stayed at this hotel recently for 8 nights during my first trip ever to Tokyo. I booked directly off the website, which offered a very good deal if booked in advance (better than expedia if I remember). I skipped the breakfast package as there are places you can eat at nearby and McD's if you are really in a pinch.... more

The rooms are small by American standards, but standard for Japanese hotels in big cities. The rooms are clean and very well maintained. Beds are comfortable and climate control could be adjusted easily (although instrument panels were all in Japanese, there were instructions in English) which was key since the windows could not be opened. There is complimentary broadband wired... more

Stayed here for 4 nights with my wife and two young kids (aged 5 and 7). Had a room overlooking the Golden Gai. The room was clean and the twin beds were easily able to accomodate an adult and a child. The bathroom was huge and the space age toilet was great. The location was fantastic, and once the seedy... more

We stayed at this hotel at our first night in Tokyo and we really think it was a great choice. It was quite easy to find the hotel with the directions from the website. The room was quite small but that's the way it is in Japan. The bathroom, on the other hand, was huge to Japanese standards (and even... more

This hotel is great value. Its quite new so is clean and comfortable. Its about a 5-10 mins walk from Shinjuku Station, south exit and is central to everything, loads of shopping and restaurants. Its on the edge of the red light district but don't let that put you off, it was barely noticeable, and actually made it all moreso... more
