Very convenient location. Friendly staff. Lots of eating places nearby. Rooms are average for Japanese standard. Basic amenities with several family marts nearby. Room price is pricier than other average hotels but you pay for the location. You can get discount packages by booking directly at hotel website and well in advance. The place gets booked out easily due to... More

I really appreciate the great help & considerable service by this wonderful hotel. I left my museum tickets at home which I booked months ago, and didn't expect for a reply. But one of the staff helped me called the museum and explained the situation, and even write a official letter for the museum for my convenience. It's so so... More

The location of the hotel is excellent. Just right next to the Shinjuku station. From the Shinjuku station, you can take the JR, Oedo Line, Shinjuku Line, etc. The subway will take you to most places. There are lots of places to eat in the area as well. There's a McDonald's right next to the hotel. It's 24 hours. Across... More

The Shinjuku station is only 150 meters away and is a convenient takeoff point for various side trips you could take from Tokyo. Specifically, if you are planning a day trip to Hakone-Lake Ashi, the Odakyu Romance Car station is at Shinjuku. Plenty of great shopping, good eats also nearby. The queen room is really quite small so you are... More

This is spot on - a decent priced business hotel in a brilliant location, just meters away from the craziness of Shinjuku on a quiet street. The staff were exceptionally helpful and the breakfast busy, but really good. If you want a decent base in Tokyo for a visit or business, and aren't fussed about pools/gyms/roofbars this is spot on.

Love this hotel , it's near the subway & Shinjuku station. The twin bedroom was a good choice , bathroom had good toilet amenities. pyjamas were given & everything was spotlessly clean. . The taxi fare from the cruise terminal was about US$70 & the return trip by the airport limousine to Narita airport was about US$31 each. no problem... More

Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku is an exceptional hotel located in the heart of Shinjuku. Getting there is easy from Narita as the limousine buses drop off right at the hotels front door. You are within walking distance of great shopping. The famous Shinjuku subway stop is just up the hill from the hotel. The food is great in the Italian café... More

This hotel is conviently located within a block of the Shinjuku station. The staff meet our every need graciously and professionally. It was clean, quite and had everything we needed. They held our luggage the day we arrived and the day we left. They provided umbrellas whenever needed free of charge. If we have any complaint at all is the... More

Good location, nice friendly staff. Rooms clean and functional. Nowhere to put clothes, no storage space so lived out of the suitcase. This did not however detract from the trip. Lovely breakfast, didn't have dinner in the hotel as on a couple of nights there were functions on in the restaurant and it was closed for periods. Nice bar area... More

The airport bus takes you to and from the front of the hotel. It is good to buy a round trip ticket if you know the time you need to be at the airport. The room is small although larger than average. The buffet breakfast has good Japanese and Western food selections. The dinning room staff is not every efficient... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
