This was my first trip to Tokyo and I loved the location – busy, vibrant and convenient for the (very confusing) underground system. The shuttle bus from the airport was very useful. The hotel room/bathroom was a bit small and a bit dated but comfortable, usable and well equipped (dressing gowns, slippers, trouser press, and even some kind of sleeping... more

I stayed with my wife and daughter (age 10) and son (age 7) for 4 nights during our kids' Easter break. I selected the hotel because, based on my research (including hours on Tripadvisor), the Excel was one of the only hotels in Tokyo that offered a quad room. Tokyo is an expensive city, so I did not want to... more

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon as we love Shibuya and the famous crossing. We requested a high-floored room with a view of the crossing and were absolutely amazed with the room we were given which was on the 24th floor directly overlooking the centre of Shibuya and the crossing. The service here was great, the rooms clean,... more

Stay for business. Reservations was actually handled by local Japan office. I got a deluxe room which is a bit larger than the normal room according to the floor plan. Check in was fine and the room is fine. I didn't get a room that faces the crossing but that was alright. The room itself was nice. Large LCD TV,... more

I book this hotel thru an Expedia package. 2 adult and 2 children came out to a triple room as my 14-year old is considered an adult. When I arrived, they said they don't have a triple facing the Shibuya Crossing and also, they didn't have a non-smoking room, things which I had asked for. They put us in a... more

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel so much that I booked it again on my return trip. Nice rooms, great bathrooms, deep tub, high tech washy washy toilets, comfy slippers, and good food up on top of the facility. I LOVE Japanese food but not the breakfast.. so A Bennoit (upstairs restaurant) has a great western style breakfast.... more

This is quite a nice hotel. There is no doubt that the location, right in the heart of Shibuya, is fantastic. The rooms have some amazing views - well at least mine did, looking out towards Shibuya crossing. However, the rooms are on the small side, and the bathrooms are, frankly, tiny. I am not a fan of the "shower... more

We stayed for 2 weeks in a high level corner room. Absolutely magnificent view of Shibuya Crossing. Really nothing to fault at the hotel. It's a great location, the staff are helpful and friendly, the room (while small) furninshed nicely and very clean. Possibly one of the smallest bathrooms I've ever used but it was functional. Because we stayed 2... more

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. It's like staying at Time Square in NYC. Many big department stores are within walking distance, which makes shopping and food hunting easy, and a major subway station is right underneath the hotel. I was in love with the complimentary Japanese breakfast. They changed the side dishes (there were 9 of them, including... more

This hotel is kind of hard to find when you get off the train in Shibuya and are a bit disorientated but it is very close and upstairs from the mall, you just need to get your bearings. Its clean and SO quite being smack dab in the middle of Shibuya, everything is central and although the staff speak limited... more
