We stayed here with 2 children (8&10) for a week in March. We could not fault this hotel. The room wasn't spacious, but with a location like this you are hardly ever in it. So close to trains and the famous Shibuya Scramble crossing. Excellent shopping and food so close. We will definitely stay there again! Thanks for a great... More

I stayed here on a business trip earlier this month and found it to be be a busy but efficient hotel. The room I had overlooked Shibuya and part of the world famous crossroads. It was clean and well presented with an introduction note from the maid assigned to the room, which was a nice personal touch. In typical Japanes... More

1. Excellent location. Just get on the direct Airport Limousine Bus from the International Airport to this hotel... luggage, kids, stroller and all! The bus stop is at the Hotel Lobby, which is on Level 5. All of the major train lines are at Level 1. You can't get a better location than this. 2. Room size. There are not... More

Decided to stay here again after our last trip to Tokyo chasing the sakura in 2013. Yes, Excel still lives up to its name, excellent service with courtesy and respect to guests, as only the Japanese knows how. The location is superb within a shopping complex and next to the Shibuya train station. So convenient to hop on a train... More

Good business hotel conveniently located over Shibuya crossing. Quite expensive for the level of service offered, rooms are really small and bathroom even more. Included breakfast at 25 th floor is a robbery , much better to have some coffee and croissants at the bakery in the mall

Serves both Japanese and western breakfast. Unfortunately in different restaurants so the entire group has to decide on the type of breakfast for the morning. Though you can get coffee in the Japanese one and if asked you can get green tea in the western restaurant. View from rooms are great with explanatory sheet of information of what you are... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in March after spending time in the snow and had a lovely stay. Rooms are modern and fresh but definitely on the small side with my partner and I squeezing in a double sized bed and the bathroom is definitely lacking space with the bath/shower, toilet and basin all squished in a little room. There... More

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights, 1 triple room and 1 twin room; locations of this hotel is great, within shopping mall Mark City, above Shibuya station, with access to JR and Tokyo Metro lines. Staff at front desk are friendly and able to speak good English. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, Internet access was good, able... More

Since we had a baby with us, we wanted to choose a hotel that is connected to the JR and Metro. Indeed, this is the perfect choice as the hotel is connected to both the JR and Metro at Shibuya Station. As the hotel is located in Mark City, there is an abundant of dining places to choose from. The... More

My first trip to Shibuya, I arrived via train from Yokohama at the Shibuya Railway station, dont believe for one second that when you get off the train and go up that you will end up in the hotel foyer as explained by the staff. I got lost in the station and ended up 3 blocks away, yes 3 blocks.... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighborhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
