We've now stayed at both the Cerulean Tower and Shibuya Excel hotels. We stayed at the Shibuya Excel a few weeks ago and were very pleased with our decision. Even if the Cerulean Tower was at the same price, we would choose this hotel again every time. We had a triple room and it was great. Enormous bathroom and separate toilet.... More

1st time stay at this hotel. Find out it was the best location. Room was nice especially qulaity bed and pillow. Staffs are all friendly and helpful. Breakfast had 2 options either Japanese set or ABF. We must say having breakfast here made us had a good start of the day.

The best thing about shibuya excel hotel is its prime location. Most of shops close quite late so you can actually walk around at night to discover the night life in here. The room is big compare to a few other hotels that I stayed before. Great service and helpful staff. I would stay here again if I come back... More

Excellent situation in heart of Shibuya Good airport connections on Limojsine bus to And from Narita Rooms quite small normal for Tkkyo hotels and all those leaflets left in the rooms : are they really necessary ? Breakfast view over Tokyo from top storey is fantastic Good coffee shop and excellent service When getting into lift you need to be... More

Had four nights in Shibuya after a snowboarding trip. The hotel was clean, room was reasonable in size for Tokyo standards and with the interaction we had with the staff they were pleasant. The hotel is ideally located at the Shibuya train station and makes arriving and departing easy. Would certainly stay there again.

Your view of this hotel really depends on whether you spend more time in the hotel or out of the hotel. If the former, the hotel is nothing to shout about. The room is small and rather cramp even though I had a semi-double. The pillows are not good at all; they are far to soft to provide any support.... More

If you want to stay in a central spot in Shibuya, location-wise, it's hard to beat the Shibuya Excel! It's connected to the station via walkways and it's easy to get to the main busy Shibuya intersection in a minute or less! It's technically in the Mark City shopping plaza (shops, restaurants) that will supply you with a small convenience... More

This was the first time we were travelling to Tokyo (with a 18 month old) and we booked this hotel for 2 main reasons- 1) the airport bus stops right at the airport. Once we came out of the arrival hall, we saw the place to buy tickets (told the lady there our hotel name and we got our tickets.... More

Stay there if you want to be in the lively Shibuya location in Tokyo. Very nice hotel with decent size room. No noise at all which is relaxing after a walk in the busy Shibuya area. Restaurants and shops are all over you once you get out of the hotel. Fantastic local. Convenient as next to all ground transportation (bus,... More

This hotel was expensive! However, we didn't have the time to plan ahead on this trip and only booked this one because it was close to the Shibuya train station and the iconic street crossing. We did pay the extra fee to get an "upgraded" room on the top floor (the elevator required a special key to gain access), but... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighborhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
