Location was really great!!! I stayed in room 2122 that can saw Tokyo Tower by the window and some of the room faced Shibuya junction. Hotel is above Shibuya station. 7-eleven is very near just 2 mins walk from hotel.

Choosing to stay at Shibuya Excel Tokyu was a good decision, The airport limousine bus drops you off at the hotel lobby itself (Y3100 from Narita, Y1030 from Haneda). Hotel staff speaks good English (even the housekeeping boy speaks good English! :)) so it was easy to communicate. The hotel sits above Mark City, and links you to Tokyu Departmental... More

Have stayed several times before at the Shibuya Excel, and it is a well run and professionally managed establishment. It offers a great base for business in the Shibuya area and throughout Tokyo from being central to the subway. There are great restaurants in the hotel, in the center where the hotel is located as well as all around the... More

Located inside the Shibuya station, this is a good hotel to stay when you arrive in Tokyo or just want a central location from where you can easily explore the city. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The top floors also offer a great view to the Shibuya square and its crossing.

Everyone seems to be complaining about size of hotel rooms in Tokyo but the room at Shibuya Excel is really not that bad. My room is smaller than those of American hotels but large enough for my taste. We didn't get Shibuya crossing room but still were able to see one of the main road leading into the crossing. Since... The hotel is located in the same facilities as the train and subway station, which is a great advantage considering the public transportation as your primary option in Tokyo. Services are very good, room is small but perfectly clean. Before arriving in Japan I was told about the size of the beds, my reservation was for a semi-double bed (SD)... More

My husband and I spent two nights at this hotel. We travelled on the Narita express from the airport to the hotel as the hotel was situated above the Shibuya Station. We had no trouble following the signs to locate the hotel, however we knew it was situated above the Mark City Shopping Centre. The check-in staff were efficient but... More

The hotel is straight across the street to the Shibuya station. There are a lot of nice restaurants and shopping locations close by. The hotel itself is really modern and provides a great view day and night.

Hotels in Japan are known for their small size, so we were pleasantly surprised with the space we had with our quadruple share regular room. From experience, unless you're in a villa or suite, the usual lay-out for a triple or quad share room would have all the beds lined up against one wall (where the 3rd or 4th beds... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighborhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
