Very good location & room size for the price you pay. Pity we only stayed 2 nights. Just 1 minute away from the new Shibuya JR exit & has a big Family Mart just adjacent. Decent food options in the vicinity too. Breakfast is included & held at Jonathan's - which has a decent spread of options. Would return to... More

I stayed at this hotel for two days' holiday over the new year as I could not find a room elsewhere. However, this is a nice surprise. Like many hotels in Tokyo, the room is small (but adequate). The staff service was friendly, helpful and good. The location is pretty convenient; a few minutes' walk to the New South entrance... More

We have been staying in the main building between 18-22 December 2014 in the 33 m2 twin room. The room is spacious comparing to normal Japanese hotel. Bathroom has separate dry and wet area where the wet area has both bathtub and Japanese style water tap. There is a small kitchenette and washer/dryer ensuite (you get a free package of... More

I stayed at Tokyu Stay Shin-Minamiguchi for 6 nights. The hotel is conveniently located in the bustling Shibuya district. The South Entrance of Shibuya Station, which connects you to every part of Tokyo and to Narita Airport (via Narita Express), is a 2-min walk from this hotel. Loads of good food and shopping options in Shibuya are all within a... More

Tiny room, bland services, poor English speaking abilities, below-average breakfast, noisy air-con. Everything looks new but just turns out to be not very guest-friendly. The only exception is the in-room washing machine, which works efficiently. Avoid, at all costs.

We liked this hotel for several reasons: 1) The room was larger than we expected. Not huge, mind you, but not bad considering the stories we've heard about Tokyo hotel rooms. 2) The price was quite good. 3) Breakfast was included. It was perfectly adequate food that arrived quickly and filled us up until lunchtime. 4) The hotel is located... More

I've stayed at Tokyo Stay several times over the past 2 years traveling in Japan and I think the rooms are quite sufficient for a business trip. The rooms are typical size for the area but having the washer/dryer and kitchen made up for so much. I was able to pack much lighter and brought a carry on and backpack... More

When I arrived at the hotel I inquired about getting a larger room as the single A room type was too cramped to myself and one piece of luggage. I've stayed in other hotels in Tokyo so I am knowledgeable of the room sizes being smaller than typical western standards. They told me that because I booked through a travel... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighborhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
