This was our second stay at the same hotel, and you may find my first review posted in February 2013. We stayed for three nights, arriving after midnight from Haneda Airport. It was around 12:30am, and we were glad that trains and airport shuttles were still available. The hotel has a convenient location and there are plenty of connecting options... More

I stayed in this hotel last June. So, I know the location, which made me feel the hotel was indeed very close to JR Kamata Station: after getting off the train, I was at the hotel reception within 5 minutes or so. Not much very scary, yet not very comfortable, I noticed kind of weird people (ladies) were standing along... More

By far the smallest room (and we had a few!) we had during our 3 week stay in Japan - we could barely move with our luggage in there as well! Was disappointed with this hotel - was nothing like the pictures advertised and not as good as most of the reviews I read suggested. Positives: Close to the JR... More

This hotel is conveniently located 1 minute away from JR Kamata station which makes exploring Tokyo and the wider area very easy. In the surrounding area there are enough restaurants to find decent food, especially a Japanese curry in a popular chain! The hotel staff were friendly enough and spoke in decent English and the room was kept clean although... More

I would definetely recommend this hotel to people!! My friend and I stayed here for 7 nights. We loved this place, it served its purpose very well Location - only 1min walk from the east exit of JR Kamata station which made it very convinient particularly since we had a JR pass. The area also has numerous places to eat... More

The location is very good, close to JR and Tokyu stations, Keikyu Kamata Station is also within the walking distance. It appears that there are many restaurants, bars and various stores in the area. Very lively even at night. The room is clean but small, which is typical in Tokyo. WiFi is free and works fine. Breakfast is very good.... More

Objectively, this is in no way a luxury hotel. But I paid a sum which wouldn't necessarily get you a youth hostel bed never mind a private hotel room and at my price it's difficult to imagine finding better value. It was clean. It was modern. Others have reported no in-room wifi, but I had a strong and stable connection... More

Stayed this night as an overlay on my way to Asia. The room that I had reserved was cheap and close to the airport, but was not a great hotel. The room was tiny, which what I was expecting for Japan. But the room was very humid and had a heavy musty smell that the a/c could not get rid... More

My family of four stayed in a refurbished double room. They were small but very clean and tidy. The bathroom was beautiful! Kamata station is very close by. It takes about 15 mins on a direct line to get to Tokyo station. Haneda airport is also very very handy.

Staying in Haneda / Kamata

Neighborhood Profile
Haneda / Kamata
Haneda / Kamata is known for its airport with many hotels popping up with the increase in international flights. It’s also an area that offers many shrines and temples with ancient origins including Anamori Inari Shrine or Ikegami Honmonji temple which is visited by more than 300,000 people in October's Buddhist Oeshiki festival. The area around Kamata station is lined with restaurants and is lively until late at night. In particular, it’s known for the large collection of tasty gyoza specialists.
