Would like to say that I can really recommend this hostel to any tourist who is looking for a budget option but still wants to stay in a place close to some of the highlights (Shinjuku/Shibuya). Beds are good enough and showers were always clean and working well. People working there were very helpful and could point out good places... More

Good hostel, the location is not the best (railway Nakano), but has its value. Not had any problems with the place, with only the bed that is very traditional (on the floor). The common area is not the greatest, but the place is acceptable.

We arrived at the guesthouse at 2pm after looking at their website, ready to check in only to be told that we were meant to check in at 5pm. The rooms are small but comfortable, the beds are comfortable too. The common room, and kitchen are nice areas to hang out in but come 10pm there are signs saying "No... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Yadoya Guesthouse for 2 weeks. We had booked the hostel off of hostel world and knew that the rooms were going to be a bit small so we booked the largest room that they had and figured we wouldn't be in the room that long anyway. The staff was very accommodating since our flight... More

Yadoya Guesthouse in Tokyo is not a proper Guesthouse but a real huge family. It's been a long time since we ever felt like being at home. All the staff and the owners are super kind, friendly, respectful and helpful. We stayed 4 days there and above all during our honeymoon! They have celebrated us all the times they could;... More

I stayed in Yadoya for 3 nights. The location of the guesthouse was great - you can reach Shinjuku, Shibuya & Harajuku under 30 minutes which is really short time in Tokyo. I had no problems to find the place in Nakano neither. There are lots of restaurants and konbini stores nearby. Guesthouse itself is really small place with shared... More

Actually, my friend and I stayed at Suzushiro A for 4 nights in January 2013. I still remember it all because it was so.... bad. Pros: 1. Staffs are friendly and they replied email promptly. They advised that the dorm rooms at Yadoya main building were fully occupied but we could stay in a twin room at Suzushiro A branch.... More

The location isn't bad - three stops away from Shinjuku station. The directions given to me when I booked were superb! A short walk from the train station - some restaurants and shops on the way. The staff was SOO friendly and SO informative which was a big plus. You are given clean sheets for you bed and pillow. The... More

It's a tiny hostel, pathways, rooms and kitchens are all tiny, but they're clean and comfortable enough for me. I was lucky to bump into the Tuesday dinner event, which was a great experience cuz many kind and interesting locals living in neighborhood were joining, and most of them were middle-age people that we seldom get to meet in hostels.... I stayed two nights in the main building in the eight bed mixed dorm room. As a backpacker of sorts, it suited my needs very nicely. It's about a five minute walk to the train station, and there is a convenience store right across the street. I got to meet new people and had fun.
