Make no mistake, this is a three-star hotel. It is a boutique business hotel. If you are used to traveling to luxury resorts, this place may not be for you. But if this is your budget, it's not a bad place to stay. Considering what you are paying, the quality of the rooms, and that you are in a rather... More

Roppongi, Roppongi, ah ah, Roppongi. (As the Pet Shop Boys never sung, but then their opus doesn't extend much to the red light districts of Japan...) There are effectively three different Roppongis in Tokyo; there's Roppongi Hills, which is a soulless skyscraper full of salarymen, Starbucks coffee outlets and corporate art. There is the Roppongi your mother / guidebooks warn... More

You are greeted by a friendly, multi-lingual hotel staff. Rioms are not generally ready until 3:00pm. They are happy to hold your luggage so that you can go wander around the many shops in the area. My room (on the 4th floor), was very spacious and included a de-humidifier, massage chair, 36 inch tv, wired internet connection and a robe... More

I should preface this review by saying that my main factor for staying at this hotel was because of it's location. I used to live very close by and wanted to be as close to my old apartment as possible. That being said, some more details... (1) Location - The hotel is attached to a large office / residential complex.... More

I can't give this hotel three stars because that would mean average as in this hotel was satisfactory. It wasn't. I agree with a lot of reviews on here that it fell a bit short on our expectations. At first we were pretty impressed with the lobby, it looked clean and staff can speak English very well compared to the... More

It is hard to beat the location and price of this hotel. There is a taxi stand and the entrance to the subway in front of the hotel. The rooms are basic and a bit tight for two people. There is neither safe nor wifi in the room although wifi is available in the lobby. Japanese breakfast is included.

I booked a non-smoking room as it was listed as what was available. When I arrived, there were none. I had to spend a few days in a smoking room that, in spite of the hotels' efforts to sanitize, still smelled like stale smoke. Thankfully the window opened and the weather permitted. The hallway, on the other hand, would knock... More

We recently stayed at the Villa Fontaine Roppongi for 3 nights. The hotel is very conveniently located next to the Izumi Garden Place office complex (select underground restaurants etc.) and on top of the Roppongi Icho-me subway line (Namboku Line). Roppongi intersection is only a leisurely 15 minutes walk away. The Akasaka Ark Hills hotel and office complex with plenty... More

We spent there 3 days on and off/as it was within a few minutes of walk from the office. It is a mid range business class hotel, a subway station is 100 meters away from the entrance. There is a shopping center and a lot of small restaurants and coffee-houses in this area, moreover it is in 10 minutes of... More

Had stayed here for 14 days for my business trip as it is very convenient for me to go my office in next block. The fact that this hotel is located next to the train station make it easy to travel to any places within Tokyo. Although the room is small, it is good and clean. Hotel staffs are very... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
