This hotel is frequented by a lot of business people as it is near many offices. I will say the location is good and within minutes to the Roppongi station. It is also above the Roppongi Ichome station. Just down stairs from the hotel is a lot of eateries and Star Bucks coffee. There is a is also a convenience... More

We (2 people) stayed 4 nights in a Superior non-smoking room (1 queen bed) with free wifi. This was our first of 5 hotels on our trip to Japan. We requested a room as high as was available with hope of getting a view of the city, unfortunately the 12th floor did not provide this. Non the less the room... More

The best thing about the location is that the subway station (Roppongi Itchome) is right there so that you can head out wherever you want to go. Because otherwise, there is not much in the neighbourhood. A bit of a walk and you get to Roppongi with its bars. The Tokyo Tower is about 15 min walk away. The rooms... More

The lamps attached to the bed headboard are very close to where your head will be, was afraid I'd bash my head against the lamp if I jolted awake in the middle of the night. The mattress is really hard, the pillows are too flat. Shower gel/etc in convenient pump bottles (brand: Mikimoto Cosmetics). We had an unfortunate experience with... More

Villa Fontaine is a chain of hotels which all follow a very smart concept. The buildings are easy to spot, well sign posted and look beautiful. The central lobby also looks great and the prices seem low. Breakfast is always included in the price. The rooms are of fair size and all the creature comforts one might expect at these... More

Being in Japan for the first time in my life I had many preconceived notions about how tiny the hotel rooms would be. I was therefore pleasantly surprised by a decent sized room and most importantly immaculate in its maintenance and cleanliness. Taxi stand right in front of the hotel and a subway station as well. 15 minute walk from... More

The price is very reasonable for the comfort you get - the rooms are quiet, small but very clean and beds are very comfortable. Hotel offers also adapter for free, also free and very fast WLAN. Taxi available directly in front, and s especailtation (subway) also directly near by. Only the breakfast is not so good, especailly no choice for... More

Unattractive but clean & efficient. Warm welcome from the friendly staff. Small rooms but well appointed; kettle, bathroom amenities, internet, tv, slippers, nightgown! Amazing toilet; sings & dances for you!!!! Heated bathroom mirror!!!!! Useful vending machine on each floor. Location is good, underground just outside & 10 min walk to American Club, Tokyo Tower, the lively Roppingi district, & Embassies.... More

Make no mistake, this is a three-star hotel. It is a boutique business hotel. If you are used to traveling to luxury resorts, this place may not be for you. But if this is your budget, it's not a bad place to stay. Considering what you are paying, the quality of the rooms, and that you are in a rather... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
