We visited during Hanami (Cherry Blossom) viewing season so accommodation was EXTREMELY (ridiculously) expensive Tokyo wide. We ended up booking through a Japanese website as other (Non Japanese) online sites were overly expensive. We stayed at the Mitsui Garden Shiodome Italia-Gai hotel which is within walking distance (5mins) of Hamamastu-Cho Station which has a direct monorail line to Haneda Airport.... More

The location is just midway of JR/metro stations which means 10+ mins walking distance in either way. It is hard to say it remote and inconvenience but there are hotels at better locations of similar room rate. The room itself is very good allowing reasonable space for us. It is equipped with both in-room free wi-fi and wired Internet.

This is a fairly standard three star Japanese business hotel, which means it will be comfortable and clean but with few amenities. The front desk staff were not particularly helpful with providing directions or answering questions. The breakfast was kinda weird. Not Japanese, not western, just a bizarre fusion of both. This hotel was saved by its wonderful public bath... More

Not far from train station by walking distance. It’s around 15mins from train station to the hotel by walking. Surrounding with restaurant, convenient shops, drug stores. Easy to access attracting point in Tokyo by train (Near Tokyo bay and Tokyo tower). The room is clean with free wifi and other equipment’s. in the night the area is quiet and easy... More

This is a standard 3-star hotel. The lobby and breakfast area are small, and the rooms are tiny and pretty basic. We stayed here, due to last minute travel plans. The location, though not too far from the metro station and JR stations (8-10 min walk), is not entirely ideal as the hotel is located in a very quiet back... More

Our stay was one of those rare occasions where a hotel scores top marks in every category. We liked everything - the location for transport, shopping and culture (three train stations in easy walking distance - 10-15 min), Tokyo Tower/Zojoji temple, Hamarikyu Gardens and Ginza also nearby.- very good restaurant with generous buffet - exceptionally friendly and attentative staff. And... More

The Mitsui Garden Hotel Shiodome Italian-gai is easy to get to from both NRT and HND airports. Take the Keisei Sky Liner from NRT to the Daimon stop or the monorail from HND to the Hamamatsucho stop. Walk five minutes to the hotel. Renting global wifi at the airport was great. It was under $10 per day and kept us... More

Nice hotel in a nice neighbourhood! 5 minutes walk to subway station. Close to train station which takes you to Tokyo Big Sight exhibition. Rooms were clean and nice. If i need to find something bad it should be the view from the room, the window was facing a wall on the next building. Will stay here again!

The location of this hotel was perfect: 10 minutes north of Daimon Station, 10 minutes East of Onarimon Station and 7 minutes south of Shiodome/Shimbashi Station. It has the Lawson convenience store next to it, the Hamarikyu Gardens 5 minutes away and small eateries surrounding the hotel. The price was reasonable for a 3.5-4 star hotel, with a medium sized... Very impressive when reached the hotel room. It was spacious especially we have 3 pax in a room and the room was clean and neat . The location maybe slightly far but with the space we get for the room - worth the extra few minutes walk! Only set back is the sound proof maybe be as good ppl walking... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
