I found the hotel beautiful, but the restaurants and massage, bar, etc., much too pricey. The spa treatments were not the standard I expected and the facilities are small. A better value would be the Grand Hyatt, but their spa is also lacking. I would use outside massage services. A true five star hotel in every sense. All the rooms (I think) have stunning views over Tokyo and the hotel is just a short walk to some of the main shopping areas. Incredible food too. More

From the moment I walked in I felt special. Everyone greeting and welcoming you to the Ritz with smiling faces. When I went to check in I was told my room was no longer available which made me a little angry as had paid extra for views of Tokyo Tower but before I could open my mouth to complain I... More

The views from this hotels are amazing and on a clear day you can see Fuji. The rooms were massive (especially for Tokyo standards) and the bathrooms are huge. The desk area is very practical and the bed extremely comfortable. From a room perspective, this place was well worth the money. The biggest disappointment for me was the service. The... More

I stayed here with my family for one night before travelling up to Nagano and it was amazing. Great views of the city from the sky lobby. Great staff, very helpful and very comfortable rooms with all the amenities. Great bar as well! Would love to come back! More

The previous reviewers have detailed how great this place is. The view from my 51st floor room was incredible - the whole city sprawling out below the window. Super comfortable room with fab bathroom, practical desk area, giant TV, great bed, charming service - all in all a properly 5 star hotel. Loads of attention to detail which extended to... More

Everything is great - the bathroom is huge, and I have heard its the most earthquake proof building in Tokyo. Anyway, you can't go wrong here - except on price. I went for business in May 2011 and it was $400 ish a night, in November it was $1500+ so I am staying elsewhere. More

I knew I was in for the Lost in Translation experience when staff actually walked in front of me (while constantly saying "welcome, welcome") to activate the automatic doors. Yup the automatic doors. Then there was seemingly every member of staff in the hotel standing around in the lobby all saying hello as if they were waiting for us. Very... More

We stayed on the 53rd floor at the Ritz and the view was just incredible. The Sky Lobby is another highlight, with the same views and a fantastic selection of whiskies. We ate at the Kutani the night before we left, which was a mix of fantastic food and intimate dining with personalised service from Chef Yoshida. Highly recommended. More
