For those looking for a topnotch hotel in Tokyo, the Ritz Carlton is hard to beat. Beautiful, luxuriously appointed rooms, astonishing views, amazing service, fantastic central location. There is nothing not to like. And for an extra special experience, its worth upgrading to a Club Room which gives you access to the Ritz Carlton Club on the top floor with... More

There are not enough superlatives to describe this property. The location in the Roppongi neighborhood of Tokyo is absolutely wonderful for exploring and has very easy to use access to Tokyo mass transit. The property itself is simply gorgeous. The hotel lobby is situated on the 45th floor of an incredible office and retail space complex called Midtown. What makes... More

Stayed for 3 nights and was expecting amazing service - was very unimpressed. The bar staff on the 45th floor were disinterested in helping us, when we ordered wine they said they had run out of this type but didn't offer alternatives, speak limited English and the menus have different prices. Rang and rang for a bell boy to retrieve... More

The Tokyo Ritz sits on the top eight floors of the Tokyo Midtown Tower which rises to 53 stories. The rooms are lovely and large by Tokyo standards and have views over the city to Mount Fuji or over the Tokyo Tower. Located adjacent to a new luxury mall the hotel is convenient to upscale shopping as well as a... More

This is the first time I am staying in a Ritz Carlton. I must say that I am very satisfied with the services provided. When we arrived at the hotel from the airport, the concierge greeted us with our names. It never happened with other hotels. We stayed in a deluxe room with an amazing view of the Tokyo Tower... We stayed at RC Tokyo for a week in Jan/Feb. I'm a RC platinum card holder and not easily impressed (see my other Tripadvisor reviews) but I can easily sum up our stay at this hotel in one word: perfect. The hotel, which occupies the top eight floors of the Tokyo Midtown skyscraper, performs excellent on all levels: from checking... More

this is my second visit to the RC in a span of three years. I love the vicinity and wanted to give this hotel the benefit of the doubt. But on both occasions I was given a room designed for the ability challenged. usually I would have no issues with this but the room does not have a shower cubicle... More

Tokyo is an impressive city with a Japanese skyline - it feels so Japanese. Ritz isn't especially Japanese, but the hotel never fails in satisfying me! The impeccable service, the stylish rooms, and the feeling of entering my room after a long walk in Tokyo is always an exhilarating one! I hope I will be able to return, but the... More

The Ritz Carlton Tokyo is located on the top floors of Tokyo Midtown tower, one of the newest skyscrapers in the city (floors 45 - Lobby to 53) offering dramatic 360 deg views over the city. My room had a direct view across the city and over to mount Fuji. The location is ideal, at the heart of Roppongi and... More

The location of the hotel is ideal for those guests who would like to explore the culinary establishments in Roppongi, there are a great number of small eateries within walking distance offering different types of local Japanese cuisines. Staying in Akasaka / Roppongi

Neighborhood Profile
Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants, bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art galleries.
