Small business hotel few minutes walk from Shimbashi station. Good connections and plenty of restaurants/nightlife in the area. Limited services (no gym etc) but ok breakfast. Clean and nice despite small rooms. Good value for money.

This is one of the more expensive hotel of APA Hotels&Resorts, located in Shinbashi. Location is not great, almost missed the hotel while searching for it. Hotel was pretty new when I booked, so everything was very clean and nice. Room was small but amenities were sufficient. On the other hand, staffs were really nice and helpful.

This is a basic local hotel. It is located a short ten minute walk from the Shimabashi Metro station. There must be hundreds of restaurants and bars near by within an easy walk. The rooms are the smallest we have ever seen, basically a bed and a counter with a very small bathroom. No closet - just 2 pegs on... More

I was opposed to staying at this hotel initially as it was not a hotel where I would earn loyalty points and it didn't seem to be very nice. The hotel wasn't bad. The room was the smallest room I have ever stayed in; smaller than an interior cruise ship cabin, smaller than a campervan, very small. It was compact... More

I stayed here for a few days while on business and overall it was quite nice. The hotel seems relatively new and its a classic Japanese business hotel with small rooms and only enough space to get in and out. The general upkeep is good and the little Italian restaurant on the ground floor is a good enough place to... More

Our usual corporate digs were booked out, so I holed up in the APA Hotel Shimbashi on my last visit to to Tokyo. It's a basic business hotel with no frills. WHAT YOU'LL LIKE: - Well connected, location-wise. It's a 5-minute walk from multiple train stations (Mita, Shimbashi) - Walking distance to multiple Izakayas, cafes and convenience stores. - Modern... More

I stayed here for 3 nights on my recent business trip to Tokyo due to issues getting a room in the usual corporate hotels. It is a basic business hotel in the heart of Shinbashi. Just 5 minute walk from the Karasumori exit from Shinbashi JR Station, it has an easy access to Haneda Airport ( door to door 30... More

I was booked at this hotel because our Corporate hotels are fully booked and this hotel is a further distance from the office. Due to a personal extension at the end of my work trip I decided to continue staying in the hotel and paid for the hotel separately in an online portal. When I first checked in I told... More

First time in Tokyo, brand new hotel, small rooms but very nicely appointed with all the necessary amenities as was the bathroom. The front desk was efficient and helpful. Very comfortable bed, nice Italian restaurant on lobby level with really good and authentic food and reasonable prices. Great location.

This hotel is in a great location, near the train, but I do not recommend this hotel. My husband and I stayed here for two nights during our 12 day trip to Japan. We knew that space may be limited in Japanese hotels, so we brought small luggage. Even though we considered the space, our luggage barely fit in the... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
