Functional hotel. Two single beds when I requested a double. Small room. What you expert in Tokyo. Great location. Service was good and speedy. Complimentary coffee. Fast internet. Would stay again if I am wanting something easy

The b akasaka is in a really nice location only 2 mins from the akasaka subway station in the chiyoda line. The rooms are well equipped. A kettle, fridge, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, slippers plus bathroom bits and bobs it has everything you need, the rooms are bigger than expected for Tokyo. The staff were helpful and polite and the... More

We could not control the heating as they either have it set to hot for the whole building (winter) or cold (summer). Travelling in autumn you require both. We roasted at night as we couldnt cool the room down. Strange. Breakfast was also very dissapointing. Staff very nice and rooms, tiny but functional. Akasaka is not a bad suburb to... More

I had an overnight stay at the B-Akasaka and it was very pleasant. Room was very small, but clean and comfortable. Top brand Shiseido shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the very powerful and clean shower. It's in a quiet neighborhood with a 10 min walk to the Aoyama-itchome metro station which is only 2 stops away from Shibuya area.... More

A fabulous location in a quite area, close to the chyoda line Akasaka station. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well appointed. They are small but lack nothing, even shampoo and conditioner are supplied. We were a family travelling with teenagers so the laundry facilities FANTASTIC! At ¥300 a load a bargain, a dryer only ¥100 per half hour. Staff... More

Great service, room was small but manageable. Very good prices and in a great location. Only downside was no in-room safe (didn't concern me much as nobody seems to steal anything in Japan) and no cupboard for hanging clothes. Very close to the metro (Akasaka-Mitsuke, take exit 10, then turn right at the top of the escalators, left into the... More

Decided to return to the B Akasaka after a great experience in 2011. This hotel represents great value. Stayed here for 6 nights, one at the beginning and five nights at the end of my Japanese holiday. The rooms are small (to be expected for Tokyo) and there is limited hanging space for clothes but there are other compensating factors... More

2nd time staying in the b Akasaka, both times I went to tokyo, this would be the hotel I stay. Great breakfast as well. Even though the place is small, you really have everything you need. But the only thing I would love would be a in room safe. But not to worry, you can keep your passport with the... More

I did not know what to expect with this hotel as I did not do a lot of research and started to wonder if I had made a mistake booking a hotel called 'the b'. Did B mean second class? Should I have perhaps booked 'the a'? It turned out with this chain 'the b' stands for bed, breakfast, balance... More
