A unique hotel popular among foreigners in the center of Tokyo. All rooms are very spacious (>40 m2) apartment-like Suite Rooms (twin room with a living room) yet inexpensive (<15,000-18,000 yen), so I recommend to couples !! No room service, but the staffs are helpful. There are many restaurants around the area. Just a few min walk from subway Akasaka... More

I would agree the positives of most reviewers , especially the rooms; (I am told the developer had intended it originally as service apartments which maybe why) the staff are super professional, always one with adequate English is around in my experience my ONLY very slight negatives....only slight *** I do see many foreigners here now, so maybe time to... Stayed here on business for 4 nights in early April. Very conveniently located, in the Akasaka district, which is full of great restaurants and bars. Literally a 1 min walk from Akasaka subway station, which connects well to other subway lines. About the hotel itself - the room I had (2nd floor) was huge, with a lounge area, 2 double... More

A five day stay on business in Tokyo. The room was large, comfortable and clean. Staff were very helpful. Location is reasonable being just a few stops from Tokyo main station. Numerous restaurants around the hotel. There is even a local British pub, the Hobgoblin bar, just around the corner.

Great location- close to many restaurants and easy metro access. The room is very large, especially by Japanese standards. The beds were comfortable and I liked that my room had a balcony (even if it was too cold to go outside to enjoy it). There was a lot of space in the room which made my stay very comfortable. There... More

Stayed here for a week with my husband and our 11 year old daughter. Couldn't have found a better hotel for a family. Very clean and comfortable, kitchenette with fridge, microwave and hot plate, dining table, couch and 2 very large double beds. Even a small balcony. Hotel staff always friendly and helpful. Liked the Akasaka area, very few sights... More

Was in Japan for a holiday. Was abit sceptical about it at first but oh boy, Tokyo is THE place to be. I am so in love with the city. The people, the culture, food and everything about Japaaann... The trip was made possible in the early April 2014 to catch the Sakura season. Every Hotel in town is fully... More

The Avanshell was home base for my husband, 18-year old son, and I for the first week of a two-week pleasure trip to Japan this summer. We stayed in one of their "junior suites," which have 3 beds plus a kitchen area. It was perfect -- tons of room, clean, and right around the corner from the Akasaka metro station.... More
