we stayed here for 5 nights when arrived to Tokyo. Although it is a bit far from the center, it is quite well located by train (7 minutes walking from the hotel) and it si a very quite/business like area. Everybody was very professional and kind to us and we were enough lucky to be located at the same floor... More

We chose this hotel for our first four days in Tokyo and I think we got really lucky. After spending two more nights near by Shibuya Crossing I can compare at least two different districts to be in. Celestine hotel is perfect for the tourists. Located near by Tokyo tower, at first the hotel may seem a little bit isolated... More

Room was spacious by Tokyo standard. Daily breakfast was nice but more variety should be added. Within walking distance to the metro station. Quite a number of nice eateries within 10 minutes stroll. Hotel staff are very polite and helpful. Internet wifi was strong throughout. There is a lounge on 14th floor where guests can mingle with free coffee/tea and... More

This is our first time in Japan and decided to spend our first 3 nights at Celestine Hotel. We were surprised and did not expect a spacious corner room (we heard Japan has small hotel rooms), remote controlled drapes, and complete set of toiletries with extra items like branded facial cleansing cream, facial lotion, moisturizer, bath salts and disposable wash cloth.... We stayed here for six nights this summer and had a chance to enjoy the Celestine's consistently professional service and impeccable clean rooms. Yes, the rooms are Tokyo-small, but the price is reasonable. Breakfast is notably good, with Japanese and western menus to mix and match. Staff are superb and endlessly helpful in English as needed. Location is a easy... More

Stayed at the Celestine hotel during my stay in Tokyo. Hotel is very modern, with a large lobby, and decent size rooms. Location is very good and within 10 minutes walk from a restaurant packed quarter of Tokyo that should not be missed. Breakfast at the hotel offers a mix of Asian or western style food, and has great choices.

Stayed 6 nights with husband. Arrived early, reception were friendly and happy to hold our bags until we returned. Room was clean and there was enough room for bags etc. Great views and quiet at night. Location was also handy to a number of train/subway lines, though those using the JR line will still need to walk a few blocks.... More

This hotel seemed to cater more to business travellers but it was still a great hotel with some fantastic views over Tokyo. It is very close to the monorail which is why we stayed here for our last night in Japan - for ease of travel to the airport. The hotel bar was great and the barman made some excellent... More

This hotel had large, beautiful, well appointed rooms, and the staff are consistently very gracious and service oriented. Just after arrival, we walked outside to get dinner, and a receptionist ran after us with 2 umbrellas for our use. There is a lovely rooftop garden with a hotel guest lounge adjacent. There was a 3 prong western type socket in... More

It's hard to know where to stay if you're a first-time visitor faced with the pros and cons of different neighborhoods as well as wanting to be sure that you'll be comfortable, get good value for money, and have a great Tokyo experience. The Celestine Hotel fit the bill splendidly. Access from the airport is easy: take the Skytrain to... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

    Neighborhood Profile
    Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
