Living in Japan can be boring without a real American breakfast, thanks to our friend who has priviledges to dine here and invites me to have one of my favorite dishes, SOS! Other friend has a short stack & it is huge!

This is the first time I've stayed in a military hotel and was pleasantly pleased at how wonderful it was. Rooms were scarce, but they were able to accommodate us for 2 extra night more than our reservation. Not to mention we were there the week of Christmas! The money per night should not deter someone from staying there ...... More

I've stated in government ran hotel all over the world and I must say that the New Saano is the absolute BEST. The rooms are emmaculate and the service is exceptional. I love staying her and I especially love how close it is the all the various shopping. The room prices are inexpensive and the restaurants are also pretty decent.... More

Really a great place to stay if you are affiliated with the military or DoD. The money you save staying here is astonishing. Anywhere else in the Minato-ku area, you would be leaving your wallet and probably an arm or a leg at the front desk as payment (or anywhere in Tokyo really). The staff were all extremely friendly, and... More

While it sometimes can be challenging to get room reservations in the New Sanno, if you plan ahead you usually have no problems. I live in Tokyo and each time I have put myself on the waiting list for one or two nights, I have generally cleared the list. I've probably stay about 15 nights in the past three years.... More

This place is the best of the bunch.Don't be fooled by any negative reviews. If you get a room, consider yourself lucky to have such an American sized room in Japan. Go to the reservation page now if you want to go anytime next year! Don't forget your military I.D., either. (except New years Eve, where you must call or... More

You cannot beat this value in Tokyo. The price is almost hard to believe. However, you must book like a year in advance because they're always booked due to the low price. If you qualify to stay here or can get a sponsor, do it. It's not a central location, but only a 10 min walk to the nearest subway... More

The Good: It's a DOD hotel relatively close to things around Tokyo. The front desk staff are very pleasant. The Bad: It's not all that close to much. There's a train station about a quarter mile away. It's certainly not located in the heart of Tokyo. Do a google street view to see what's around here. The bar service staff... More

I like staying at the New Sanno as the location is convenient when visiting Tokyo. I enjoy discovering Tokyo while staying at this hotel. Sunday Brunch is a must!! It makes you feel like you are at the buffet in Las Vegas. The pool Is open for everyone and so is the gym.
