Having stayed in three stars throughout our Europe trip we decided to treat ourselves in Tokyo on the way home. I was wary that the price quoted seemed cheap. We arrived early and couldn't get a room before 2.00pm which is fair enough as they seemed busy. We were really impressed with the service everywhere in the hotel although we... More

I seriously can't figure out what hotel people could possibly be talking about when they say the Dai-ichi is excellent. It is so remarkably average. Rooms are old and badly in need of updating. Towels and robes in bathroom are like sandpaper. Seat of desk chair was so collapsed I couldn't even sit in it for fear of falling right... More

It's a business hotel so for a family of leisure goers it did feel a bit strange to be found strutting around. Places to eat and get snacks are nearby. Rooms were good and comfortable. We were there during christmas time so there was a huge christmas tree which my little one loved.

The hotel is very close to Ginza, so perfect for visiting and shopping. It is old style, but overall good. The main negative aspects are the poor breakfast option (a sad restaurant in an annexed building) and the cleaniness: I reserved a non smoking room, but it stinks of smoke. In general, it is worth if you find a very... More

Stay for 4 nights with family. Dai-ichi hotel has convenient location, just 2 mins from Shimbashi location of Yamanote line. The airport bus stops right at the door, and there are plenty of convenient stores and restaurant nearby. Ginza is just short walk away. Room is huge by Tokyo standard. The bed and bath are clean and comfortable. Most of... More

By far one of the most dirty and low-quality 5 star hotels I've ever booked! I booked a non-smoking room and got a smoking room - stains on the carpet, black, dirty fingerprints on walls and doors and very dusty. After complaining I had another room, a non-smoking room, which was much better, but still not up to the standard.... More

Wow...what a great hotel. Service was top notch...amenities were exactly what you'd expect for the price...and then some. From our check-in to our late check-out, due to a delayed flight out of Narita...the staff was always very helpful and accomodating. The room was cozy, we had to add another bed since there were 3 of us, but it was perfect... More

You won't find anything more convenient downtown, right across the street from the train station. Staff is friendly, willing to please. Plenty of English speaking staff to help you with your questions. Rooms are large and nicely furnished, but a little overpriced. Shop for deals. Unfortunately, it's one of those old grand hotels that lacks any intimacy. The lobby is... More

I have driven past the Dai-Ichi Hotel in the airport limousine bus several times a year for over twenty years - but never stayed there, never even been inside! But on a recent trip to Tokyo I decided to try it as the room rate was half the price of The Imperial. Well, what a lovely surprise! True the lobby... More

I stayed here for nearly three weeks for business. Overall the staff is extremely helpful, speaks wonderful English, super professional and nice to deal with. Luxury hotel? Not sure. It has a large sized room for such a great location in Tokyo. The provided ammenities, pajamas, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel (shisedo brand) toothbrushes etc are good. I was able to... More
