We spent 4 nights there and I was very impressed by the service of this hotel. The rooms are quite spacious and the bathroom is very clean and spacious too. The toiletries are the best (Shiseido and some other brand) i've used in any hotel in the world. Shimbashi station is close by and can be accessed underground from the... More

That's the first thing I'd like to say about this hotel. Are that the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and not as claustrophobic as other newer Hotels in Japan. The hotel is rather dated and reminds me of a Disneyland Hotel in a theme park. The hotel is extremely clean, which I like. The location is ok, but not perfectly... More

This is a luxury hotel in a unbeatable location. There are no less than 6 convenient stores within walking distance from the hotel and plenty of eateries around. The Shimbashi Station of the Tokyo-Metro Line can be accessed from the basement of the hotel. It can bring you directly to popular places like Shibuya, Omotesando and Ueno. The room is... More

We spent two nights as a family at the Dai Ichi. We had two rooms but the kids got the suite as that was the only room that could accommodate a rollaway. The hotel has an atmosphere of days gone by in a classic hotel sense, so its in need of a refurb but suited our purposes. The rooms are... More

My stay at the Dai-Ichi was brief, but the experience was wonderful! The hotel itself exudes a curious and fun mix of old architecture and modern amenity. For example, the room key was actually a key (a big, gold key) and not a swipe card. The buffet was delicious, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the location was... More

I really don't know how to rate this hotel. The lobby is beautiful but it's got no life. The restaurants are terribly expensive but its location is not so near the main street of Ginza. This hotel has seen better days. Don't Don't Go to Tokyo Japan for New Year's Eve!!!! It's the saddest place for this night!!! Restaurants close... More

I used to work in this area of Tokyo, and have walked by the Dai-Ichi many times. On a recent visit, I tried it out and saw that it was indeed a pretty decent luxury hotel. Sure, the wallpaper is pealing, and the room keys are the ancient, metal variety, but it all adds up to a comfy stay. The... More

First time in Japan and very happy my travel agency recommended me this hotel. Excellent location, very close to Ginza, a commercial district and a walking distance to the Tokyo Station. Clean rooms, not small, nice selection of restaurants, the people very polite (in special from restaurants..). Bell boys not fluent in english.... The breakfast was included in my rate,... More

After 4great nights in Kanazawa,I located my hotel inIkebukuro,a fine hotel just minuets from the railway station,I travelled daily by train, all ways get a one ,two three or more day pass much cheaper and easier, the hotel was clean, friendly enough, the room was larger than my trusty hotel room in Kanazawa,my washing was sent out and returned the next day wonderfully clean... We arrived the hotel around 12 noon, plan to leave our luggage first as normal check in time should be 3pm.But front desk said room will be ready in 15min,how nice! When we came back with huge shopping bags, bell boy will take our stuff back to the room. This’s not all, when we request late check out at 1:30 since we book... More
