We stayed there for three days in late December of 2014 and enjoyed it. It was sort of formal as it seemed to cater to business people. The staff was very polite and did a good job of caring for our room. The location is good for getting almost everywhere in Tokyo as it is just 1-2 stops away from... More

Stayed here in May. Had a lovely room. Friendly and obliging staff - nothing is too much trouble. The WiFi was excellent. The bar on the 21st floor had wonderful views of the city. A great choice of restaurants within the hotel. Fab location for shops, restaurant and transport. Would definitely recommend I did expect to have free use of... More

I was staying at Daiichi Hotel Tokyo several times for both pleasure and leisure purposes. First of all the location is fantastic – its right in the center of Tokyo where most of the places can be reached by walk ( Ginza, Imperial, Palace , Hamariqu park, etc.) or by short train ride from Shimbashi station. Rooms are fantastic with... More

We loved the Dai-ichi hotel! First, the location is wonderful: 2 minutes from a main Shinbashi subway station (there is a direct train from the airport), 5 minutes from a cool area of restaurants and bars, and 10 minutes from a big shopping area. Service was excellent. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated, normal room size. View from 16th floor... More

This is a hotel with old world charm. Nice spacious rooms, a little old fashioned with metal keys. Comfortable bed, but the quilt was too thick and too warm ; so they need a thinner quilt or stronger airconditioning. The bathrooms were nicely done too. Very helpful and hospitable concierge but can you expect anything less in japan ? The... More

We spent 2 days in this beautiful hotel enjoying its perfect location. Imperial Palace is within a walking distance, as well as the main shopping area and Tokyo Central station. The staff was extremely helpful and the service was impeccable. Lots of small and inexpensive restaurants are just across the street and the night life starts close enough to enjoy... More

Staid 4 nights on a business trip. Very attentive staff. Ok room, but the hotel is kind of old and have seen better days. Good bed, good AC, bathroom good. Unfortunately smell of cigar came through the ventilation which I think is pretty poor. Good location, walking distance to Ginza and a lot of nearby restaurants and bars. Also went... More

Staying in this hotel for 2 nights. Hotel location is in the heart of Tokyo City. Shinbashi metro station is just below the hotel, and there is direct underground passage way to Tokyo Metro. Check in is only available at 2PM, we reached hotel early and leave our luggage at the concierge. The hotel staffs brought our luggage direct to... More

Traditional or possibly old fashioned but well located in central Tokyo. Rooms decent size and comfortable. English reasonably well spoken and understood. Staff efficient Just lacks character and not particularly good value. Stayed in more interesting hotels in Tokyo.

Hotel is nice, rooms a bit old but ok, good wifi, the fitness center that they speak of in the website is in another building and payable (usd 15 or so). They claim that it is nearby. Then they could advertise that they have a cinema, guide michelin restaurant, babysitting, piano store, etc too. Breakfast is good if you have... More

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
