Tokyo can be tough--especially if you have two elderly parents and two young kids in tow. However, if you are staying at the Grand Hyatt in Tokyo, then things get a little easier. Not only is the location amazing (in fun and happening Roppongi), but the facility itself if top notch. We loved hiking about Tokyo and coming back to... More

Great location, terrific service, delicious eating establishments. If your opinion of Hyatt is based on its US properties, you will be very pleasantly surprised. High-end Hyatt properties (Park, Andaz, and Grand) are as good as any luxury brands. Highly, highly recommended.

Excellent hotel but Roppongi Hills is not my favorite area of Tokyo. Getting around on the subway just seems to take longer. Anyway, back to the Grand Hyatt. Rooms are spacious by Japan standards so no complaints there. Lobby crew always friendly and provides great personal care. Everyone is always smiling and bowing. Taxis are always available outside the lobby... More

Spacious room, amazing bathroom and good service. Excellent location in Roppongi Hills with shopping and restaurants a few steps away. Internet service was free. Room service orders were delivered promptly and the food was good. This is a complete hotel although not necessarily a stand out.

Stayed at the Grand Hyatt Roppongi in 2013 and in 2015 again, nothing has changed and that's a great thing. Service is always 10/10, rooms are incredibly comfortable and the staff provide you the best service you can get in a hotel. Will always be my go to hotel in Tokyo.

My recent four-day (business) stay at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo impressed. Front desk check-in was smooth, after which two staff escorted me to my room (644) and explained its features. Modern and sleek in style, the dark, rather large entry hall opens to a bright, medium-sized room in warm wood and beige tones with polished silver accents. The large desk... More

Stayed 3 nights on a business trip. Rooms are larger than the Tokyo norm, quiet and equipped with blackout curtains so it's easy to get a good night's sleep. Check-in and out are smooth. Location is great for Roppongi but a slightly longer walk to the nearest metro station. Decor is modern but neutral - it feels like it's been... More

The hotel is beautiful, well maintained and has every amenity you can think of. The fitness center has modern equipment and the pool is great (lap pool). The staff is wonderful and very helpful. Great location with access to two subway lines that can get you to all of the main areas around the city.

I found the rooms very clean and the beds very comfortable, and all the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Tokyo. They also have a wide variety of restaurants conveniently located within walking distance.

Spent 5 nights here on a vacation with my wife. Loved it. Have stayed at multiple 5 start hotels in Tokyo on business including the Park Hyatt, and I think this hotel is competitive. Much in the Grand Hyatt mood with quarry loads of marble all over the place. Scrupulously clean. Rooms are larger than a normal Tokyo hotel and... More

Staying in Akasaka / Roppongi

Neighborhood Profile
Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants, bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art galleries.
