Stayed 5 nights, a good hotel, excellent location and comfortable room. The beds were excellent with great bath products. The staff was good and accommodating. I found the breakfast to be expensive and not so good but that is typical for Japan. I enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a comfortable hotel at... More

A nice functional hotel. A modern boutique like hotel in the chaos of Shinagawa station. It is very convenient if you need to take the bullet train during your trip. But I have to say taking the multiple elevators is a burden up to the 21st floor lobby (ok so I am impatient). The local neighborhood has lots of new... More

Everything about this hotel is excellent. The view is breath taking, rooms and furniture/amenities are excellent. Location is great, right next to shinagawa station so transport links are great. No other words other than excellent!! The bed, duvet and pillows made for one of the best nights sleep ever. Well stocked mini bar and an espresso machine.

I read the reviews before I booked this hotel so I wasn't certain about it before I arrived. I've stayed at many locations in Tokyo, including both other Intercontinental properties in Tokyo. This is now my preference. I liked the location a lot as I could arrive into Shinagawa direct from Narita via the Narita express. I followed the instructions... More

We booked with Intercontinental for the last leg for our honeymoon and thought we'd spend a bit more on a good hotel. Trouble started at check-in when the reception lady told us that we had only booked a classic single room. Both of us had really puzzled looks on our faces and explained that it was our honeymoon and that... More

Stayed here for two nights, never was able to get my room serviced in a time convenient for me. I got back from a day of golf - around 5:00 PM on a weekday, and my room was still not serviced. I had only an hour to shower, change and head to a meeting - and that's when housekeeping showed... More

This was one of the the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. It's located in Shinagawa, so it's easy to get to when arriving in Tokyo (the Narita Express train goes directly to Shinagawa train and metro station, and the hotel is just a short walk away). The hotel's design and service is of the highest quality: the staff speak... More

I have stayed at two other Shinagawa hotels and Strings is by far the best. The service is exceptional, it offers a full gym, and the rooms are awesome. The rooms have hardwood floors and carpet. They offer bilingual TV options. The shower is great. The breakfast buffet is both of excellent quality and variety.

Wow! what a place! The service was fantastic, food, lounge and other amenities were more than I expected. Again, what constitutes 5 stars in the US doesn't compare to these places. Location next to the Shinagawa train station and via taxi you could get anywhere you needed. Fish market? Just go! Staff was very helpful, especially the concierge, who helped... More

Conveniently steps away from Shinawaga train station and metro system. It has an outstanding buffet for Breakfast, the downside might be no SPA and the Gym is very outdated. But if you feel like jogging there is a river path very near that you can take and enjoy the morning views. The barman at night is an excellent guy from... More
