At the end of a long business tour in Asia it was marvellous to have completely professional service and a serene, sophisticated environment. Overall beautiful, dleicious food, restful tasteful rooms. More

I had an opportunity to stay at this hotel again, and was fascinated even more. Room is spacious, they offer towels and bath robes in abundance without previous request, and, the whole atmosphere which is kept quiet and sophisticated. The lobby where you can enjoy buffet in the morning, is completely quiet, and I wonder how they can keep such... More

I stay in hotels all over the world and am very picky about things such as cleanliness, noise, and room temperature. I have to say that the Strings is fantastic. A bit of background -- our business team was walked here from the ANA Intercontinental in Tokyo because of planned construction at the ANA. This was our first experience at... More

This really might be 2 reviews as we stayed here on 2 separate occasions and had very different experiences, one great and one not great. On the good side, the hotel is very convenient to transportation and is easy to get to from Narita. Since it is near one of the main JR Shinkasen stations, it is a convenient hub... More

I live in Switzerland and Japan makes Switzerland look inexpensive! The Intercontinental is a nice, clean hotel with all that you would expect from a Japanese location. Comfortable bed in a smallish room. Great shower and bath and automatic toilets with heated seats and water spray. I found the staff to be indifferent and although the food and beverage was... More

Have stayed at the Strings at least 10 times. Always on business. Perfect location right on the Yamanote line with easy travel to Narita. Great rooms and service. Very pricey compared to other options. If price no concern you would have a hard time doing better! More

I stayed in the hotel with my mother recently. We were both presently surprised how lovely our stay was. Though situated above one of the busiest business hubs of Tokyo, once inside one is instantly at peace with the serene architecture, water walk way and open atrium. The bartender impressed us with the martini recommendations of which there were 51... More

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. I booked it for the last night of my first trip to Japan as it seemed to give easy access to the airport. To that extent it served its purpose. The room was adequate size but not massive compared to other hotels we stated at on our trip. The bed was very comfortable... More

Can't beat the quality and feel of this hotel. Everything is crisp and elegant. Breakfast is outstanding and the service is always professional and with courteous smiles and bows. With lobby on 26th floor, no matter what room you get, you'll have a window with a nice view. The lobby with the glass floors and water features is beautifully designed.... More

We had a room on the top floor. Large expansive windows give a romantic view. The room was nicely decorated and I loved the design of the shower-tub combo. Free wireless at 10MB, and if you use the wired connection, it runs at 50MB. Coffee maker and bathrobes. Breakfast buffet is an excellent array of Western, Chinese and Japanese breakfast,... More
