We selected this hotel because it was very convenient coming from Narita on the Narita Express and to take the Bullet train to Kyoto. It is modern, very clean and the staff is very professional. We certainly would recommend this hotel for anyone but especially those needing the convenience of the train station.

I selected this hotel on my last night in the Tokyo area. It is across the street from the Shinagawa express train station to Narita or you can take the bus limo to the airport for 3100yen. I like the bus, since I have large luggage and don't want to struggle with luggage getting to the train here and then... More

Stayed on a trip to Tokyo with my son. Found it very convenient to the Shinagawa station - only a five minute walk and can be seen from the station. Staff were very helpful. Room was very nice with great view of the area. Bed was comfortable but could have done with another pillow. Lovely toiletries, free Wifi and tea/coffee... More

The hotel is right opposite Shinigawa station. The only problem is that it's neon sign suggests it is called the Shinigawa Goos. Confusing. My tip - take a photo of the hotel with you. That's what convinced me I was looking at the right building. Once you're in, it is a very good, functional hotel. The bedrooms are a good... More

Stayed for two nights during a week long business trip. The hotel is really close to Shinagawa station and is therefore convenient for Haneda airport and also the Shinkansen down to Nagoya/Osaka which is why we chose it. I was pleasantly surprised by the generously sized rooms (for Tokyo), which were well appointed and comfortable. The hotel has a large... More

Was not expecting a spacious room but to my delight this hotel is a thumbs up. Although the hotel is quite old, they maintained a tidy and clean room and bathroom. Convenient place as it is just a few minutes from a major train station,Shinagawa station, which is accessible to many points of interest, even coming from the two International... More

The hotel is directly opposite Shinagawa station, which is a good hub for Tokyo sightseeing as the Yamanote line stops here and takes you to the eastern (Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku...) and western (Asakusa, Akihabara, Ueno, Tokyo...) points of interest. The rooms are modern, very clean (as usual in Japan) and have a decent size for Tokyo proportions. Also, the view... More

On my visit to Japanese family who live west part of Japan,me and my son stayed this hotel for transit. We arrived Narita in the afternoon, took Narita Express to Shinagawa. Thus hotel was conveniently located, just a few minutes walk from the station. The room was clean and comfortable, the lobby was much spacious than we thought. Though our stay plan... More

The hotel is more suitable for business, rather than family travel, especially if you have lot of baggage. There is a small shopping complex around the hotel, but there are not many food choices compare with other Tokyo area like Ginza, Sinjuku, Shibuya etc. Pros: - close to Shinagawa train station, from platform to hotel lobby around 5min walk without... I have rested well on their comfortable bed and really happy that they also used the foamed shaped pillow which I used back at home. It is near the train stations, i only wish there are more convenience stores nearby though. The breakfast is fine, I ate for 5 days and it is getting boring. There is a ramen spot... More

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighborhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
