Simple but clean hotel, close to Shibuya station, on the main road Roppongi-dori. We stayed here for three nights primarily because we used to live about 250 metres from the hotel and so know the neighbourhood. Rooms are fine, very clean, but, as usual in Japan, not large. We ate three breakfasts and had one dinner in the hotel --... More

Finding the hotel can be a bit difficult, it's a 15 minute walk from Shibuya station along a main road. Getting a taxi is probably a better idea. The hotel itself is decent, no-frills accommodation, with slightly dated decor and small rooms. It is close to a few offices so we did see a few business travellers. Although free wi-fi... More

I stayed Shimane Inn Aoyama for one night. The hotel was located very close to the office I had business meeting on that day and that was the main reason I chose this hotel. I walked from Shibuya station to the hotel which took me around 15 minutes. There aren’t too many interesting things around the hotel so I would... More

This hotel is alright in general but not top notch. The rooms were basic (but pretty clean) and the location is so-so. Some staff members were nice but one was pretty rude (check out now!). Overall, you could stay here if you're looking for something decent in this area, but you shouldn't go out of your way to stay here.

This is a nice business hotel within walking distance of Shibuya train station, or if you have bags, 1 bus stop. It is a 5 minute walk to the Japanese Red Cross Medical Center. I highly recommend this hotel. My only complaint was occasionally spotty Internet access, but it's free.

Staying in Akasaka / Roppongi

Neighborhood Profile
Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants, bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art galleries.
