Perfect location. Love the traditional Japanese style room. Beautiful decoration. Very simple & clean. Sleeping on the floor was actually quite comfortable :))) Staff spoke a little English. Stayed on Apr 27, 2014 but unable to select the correct date right now

3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2015

The Mielparque hotel is tucked away between some residential buildings in Minato, Tokyo. The hotel looks dated and... it is! This hotel caters to elderly Japanese clientele and does so by remaining faithful to their way of life. For foreigners this means a little less hospitality than usual. At the reception no English is spoken, some clerks can't even read... More

5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

The Hotel Mielparque is fantastic value -- or at least it was when I stayed. It is a four-star tourist class hotel, but it does not seem to cater to tourists. Its main business seems to be hosting weddings and receptions. As a result, prices seem to be steeply discounted whenever there's no event on. The rooms are nothing special,... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
